Well, you were not saying anything until now so I had to make the guesses. 😆

People watching the film in urban multiplex are still large number of people, so they are mass audience. A movie which doesn't appeal to the masses will never have opening of 18 Crores and lifetime more than 100 Crores. They will fold up below 50-60 Crores.

Mass has nothing to do with metro city or small towns. It's reach being limited to metros doesn't make it niche or a film only appealing to intellectuals or critics.

All I'm saying is not all commercial movies are mass movies that does not make it niche either. You are the one who is harping about if not massy then it is niche which I never said in the first place. Gb is not the first commercial movie geared for the urbane metros that have made more than 100 crores. If you read all my comments you would have known I was not even talking about GB in my later comments. But you still seem to be stuck on GB.

So according to you all commercial urbane metro centric movies are also massy movies. This defination will come in handy in our future discussions. Thanks.

Darling, you know that there are two types of audience, class and mass. Class audience is very less in number so the movies they watch are niche. So yes, Gully Boy is massy if it's not niche. Less massy than Simmba but it's still massy.
The argument started with that Gully Boy is massy or not, so what else you want me to talk about?

Oh I know very well when you will slap this on me.😆

Total Dhamaal And Lukka Chuppi Saturday Early Estimates
Sunday 03 March 2019 01.30 IST
Box Office India Trade Network

Total Dhamaal has shown growth of around 45% and collected 6.75 crore nett on Saturday. The film has collected 11.50 crore nett over two days over its second business and should do at least 20 crore nett over its second weekend.

Lukka Chuppi has done well on day two with around 9.75 crore nett and growth of 25% apprx. The film has good collections though the growth is limited but that good first day puts it into a good position as the weekend can go towards the 30 crore nett mark. The two day collections of the film are 17.50 crore nett.

Sonchiriya is flat on day two with similar collections to day one. the film has collected 1 crore nett apprx on Friday and Saturday for a 2 crore nett two day total. Just because this film was a dacait drama it was even compared with the greatest Hindi film of all time Sholay. First Gully Boy was a classic and masterpiece and now this. Where do these crazy notions come from in the media and a section of the film industry.
