Total Dhamaal Has Strong Second Friday - Lukka Chuppi Good First Day
Saturday 02 March 2019 01.30 IST
Box Office India Trade Network

Total Dhamaal has held strongly on its second Friday despite a huge reduction of screenings at multiplexes as it collects very well outside the metros. The second Friday collections will be around 4.50 crore nett with the family audience set to come over the weekend.. The total collections of the film are now around 98 crore nett and it can cross 20 crore nett for the second weekend depending on the growth over the weekend.

The collections remain strong in UP, Gujarat and Central India where the new releases have not given it much competition. The film has outside chance to emerge a SUPER HIT but that will depend on how it performs in week three and week four.

Lukka Chuppi has managed good collections on day with a little pick up post the afternoon shows. The film will collect in the 7.50 crore nett range which is better than Stree, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Raazi and Badhaai Ho (Dusshera release). Although there is a tax change and the GROSS figures will be less than those films which were over 7 crore nett.

Its a good first day number for the film and the weekend will see growth so it will be a good weekend and then its about the hold on the weekdays. Monday will be boosted by Mahashivratri so it be after that which will tell about the film. The film has covered its costs from non theatrical rights so its safe on that side.

The industry is suspiciously quiet about the positive reviews and the love the public are giving to the film. Cenrtainnpeople from the industry went to the special screening but failedto tweet anything about it. Alot of people can't digest outsiders successes. Fact.

the industry was quiet about total dhamaal as well

the crucial time in which these movies released..with people losing their lives and war predictions and all..you really expect them to tweet about some 7.5 cr day one for a movie..that would be highly insensitive

even akshay got bashed for releasing kesari song at this time

not everything is insider vs outsider

I don't think Total Dhamal had a buzz around before it's release. It doesn't takes long to offer a few words of support especially those who attended the private screening. Why bother attending a screening and watching a film if the time is so crucial. Stay home. 😕

Not really. It's done good business for its first day which is commendable. Reviews are good and people are enjoying the film. We'll have to see how it continues to perform.
