I am making a peace with this assumption 😊😊

don't you remember the scene after their break up when he starts having green chillies one after another to cause naina pain
but when does the same he stops immediately so that she also stops
so that is why I think he will not intentionally hurt her physically

I found it to be more on a lighter side
She pinched him to feed and in return he made her eat chilly pickle .. The inside kid who is now husband in him woke up seeing naina not prioritising his wishes so he is making sure with antics that next time my wish should be your command

I totally agree with Ashu Di. I second her!
He was angry because she lied to him. And if you remember, Naina too pinched him. So they were both not really intending to hurt the other but if they unintentionally did, they'd not wait for a fraction of a second to realise it and make up for it

On the contrary I liked the scene. I felt tears in my eyes when naina ate chilli without thinking for a second that made sameer feel guilty and loved how he gave her water too.

Guys, may be I am not able to give up but I was feeling very bad when Sameer fed mirchi to Naina and she had tears in her eyes.

I know people have opinion that Sameer gave her water after that because he could not see tears in her eyes

But I felt that scene was totally opposite to Samaina equation

Dint Sameer know she will be hurt with that chilli?

According to me CVs over did it to another level

Sometimes CVs show things that are not palatable. We all know what extent Sameer went to make this marriage a possibility. There was no need to have a big wedding but he chose to have one just so that his girl's dream may come true. I don't know how feeding Mirchi fits Naina's dream.

But one thing I also don't understand, just because Sameer tells her to eat Mirchi, why on earth does she have to eat it? Does she not have mind of her own? She is his wife not his puppy that she has to do everything he tells her to do.

It goes both way - neither he or she are each others pet - they are partners in equal standing. Neither Sameer doing everything to fulfill her wishes nor Naina forever gloating that her guy does everything work in the long run. Also neither Sameer making Naina do what he wants, wear what he wants works nor Naina doing ridiculous things like eating Mirchi works in the long run.

This scene and the hullabaloo around the open hair issue is hinting at control issues that may happen after marriage. Sameer is exerting his authority and sending the message that if you don't comply it is within my power to hurt you. The hurt you, placate you has started. Whilst now this seems cute and lovey dovey, this is a very dangerous signal that is being sent.
Naina seeing that he intends to hurt her by feeding her the mirchi and still eating it without any protest shows that she has already started to behave like a typical female who will quietly accept that her partner can hurt her in the name of love. It seems she has left her topper brain on her certificates upon marriage.

If this was happening in real life I'd be saying, "Be careful, watch for the signs and get out before or the first time the abuse happens."
