BOI stopped giving VERDICT to films...no more results anymore

the entire verdict table for BOI for the year 2018 has gone blank.(oh wait...they actually never updated it lol) .mentioning only one movie as blockbuster...

BOI losing credibility day by day...

let's see how its fans and crazy supporters..keep defending this lousy site for a very long time

I complain about BOI all the time. I am always told, yes they may suck but they suck less than everyone else. That is fine if BOI doesn't hate your favorite but if they do it's not so much. They have this artificial reputation of being "official " which is complete BS. The collection numbers are bad enough but then the articles where they tear down any one and any film they want to fail and build up any one they like. Disgusting.

they always update the verdict late in the next year, as they wait for the total actual footfalls to make the verdict right.

Except for the commentary where they make snap judgements sometimes just for the opening morning if they have strong like/dislike for a film or star.

Sorry if question was asked before:

Why isn't RENTRAK ( what we have everywhere in UK , Europe, US) used to track Indian movie earnings?

It would be pretty simple then. Cause they would ask distributors to show the 'receipts'... so no 'fudging' can be done.And they are very professional. Everyone else uses them or some other tracking sites as them.

RENTRAK collects the data then reports it to specialised sites, which in turn that pay Rentrak for the service.

This way, if one site or other tries to INFLATE or deflate some movies earnings or distrib share - there's always other sites with data from RENTRAK to counteract the wrong /manufactured data.

SO you'd know pretty much what the ACTUAL BUDGET is, how much it earned in national and International markets. I mean, otherwise any rich star can buy a site and pass their own version of num,bers as the 'good' ones.

I mean the industry is bringing huge revenue I am sure they can afford RENTRAK - so as to not have biased ..'bought' sites that favor a star's movies over the other.

In US/UK we use Box office Mojo and that has literally aa HIUGE amount of data on each movie- but then those PH have contracts with Rentrak ( most common thing hidden, although not that much as to be an issue. is budget...but than can be deducted froma rticles also published on each movie's page)

BOI is still favorite. You will see how Taran/Komal and other twitter pundits wait for BOI estimates to release their numbers. I believe their numbers but they are extremely biased towards certain genre/films/stars.

That's good, because their verdicts have no basis and depend on the bias for the star/director/production house.
