Yeah it didnt even appear as a hug but the scene
Did appear realistic , guddan was very frightened so didn't realize she had hugged him and he was too busy distracting her

Btw , AJ's jump over the fence didnt appear as funny as it did in the Segments

they had two options

2. show the precap shot

they couldn't have kept the both or else they would have had to go for loop shots i.e. show same shots thrice from distance & same shot in thrice in close up

& maybe cvs felt option 1 looked most realistic
