2) 2 States - Kjo

3) Highway - Kjo calls Imtiaz

4) Kapoor & Sons - Kjo

5) Dulhania Series - Kjo pretending Alia and Varun are SRK + Kajol - NO

6) Udta Punjab - Kjo

7) ADHM - Kjo

8) Dear Zindagi - Kjo (replaced Katrina)

9) Raazi - Kjo

10) Kalank - Alia called Abhishiek (Kjo director)

11) Gully Boy (Kjo called Zoya - she said it herself in No Filter Neha)

12) Brahmastra (kjo)

13) Takht - Kjo just called her, she doesn't even know what the movie is about - he wants a period drama for her bc SLB wont't take her

Alia is cute, talented, and a good actor yes. BUT she is not mini Meryl or even close to Deepika (Deepika vs Alia question on KWK) - in stardom or beauty. Many actresses could have done her roles in Highway, Raazi, DZ, etc, if only they had a Karan Johar. At one time Parineeti was even better, but KJO made sure she was out of aloo's way. Same with Shraddha. I have asked several people in India and the US about who is the #1 heroine in Bollywood- and all have said Deepika. People don't take Alia as seriously because of her handed opportunities. That being said, she was very good in Raazi, Dear Zindagi but she's had the practice. Good scripts are King. Even in the roundtable she was very, very ignorant. She tries to be like Kareena (Kjo's first love) and can't match her...

Even the whole singing thing, Parineeti is a classically trained singer and proved it with her barely auto-tuned Meri Pyaari Bindu. I'm sorry but Alia singing live doesn't sound too good...

Where would she be without Karan Johar? My friend in the industry told me he's even signed off property to her. I used to like her, but she comes off as entitled now, especially with the whole BFF Kat and boyfriend Ranbir situation. (sorry but there's no way Mr.Casanova can go from DP to Kat to Mahira and then Alia)

These are my person opinions - sorry to any Alia fans!!

i enjoy her movies. but i dont see her as a star for some reason. and she's is barely pretty to me. in terms of looks, she is publicized to the degree of priyanka and deepika. and it is awkward.

without those opportunities, she would not be where she is. case simple.

Totally agree! Her movies are entertaining and enjoyable - due to her producers, directors, and the script. Just confused as to why Kjo is so invested in her. Does he see himself in her?

he wants her to be successful and i understand that. he launched her. but the way she is fabricated as a star and some looker is just unnatural. she never had the aura to me, everything with her is forced. and as a famous personality I don't think she is anything special.

what she does well is take advantage of the opportunities given to her. she is pretty talented when given the right roles.

but i think half of indias obsession with her is her youth.

Alia puts her opportunities to good use and I appreciate her work in most of her movies. But her offscreen personality puts me off especially as KJo is constantly trying to shove her down my throat. And what's with the bun and forcibly elongated neck in most of her recent event appearances? She can do better in her own bubbly image as she does have the cuteness going for her. I would like her much better if she grew a brain and a spine and stepped outside KJo's universe of entitled illusions.

Yup she's definitely not as innocent as she is played out to be. She is ambitious and knows what she wants! Yes, even I noticed that, she's lost a lot of weight, and even on KWK mentioned about getting rid of her body fat. Hope the RK relationship isn't making her too insecure... she looked fab at Umang though

she is very ambitious. you can tell. because she started out pretty jealous and insecure and would make snide comments against other actresses. and streaks of that come out every now and then even now.

but she is not graceful about her ambition, someone like deepika is. thats the difference. theres an entitlement with alia and i find it super unattractive.

personality wise, alia is annoying. I found her unbearable in kwk, trying too hard.

not sure what people find inspiring about her off screen actually

She has been dieting from Dulhania series actually. This isnt a new development nor is RK the reason for it

I agree 100%. The last KWK episode did her more damage than good. She came off as insecure, surprised when Karan told DP about his kids before her, and self-conscious. She's always undermined actresses like Kriti (more goodlooking than her), Taapsee (round table), Shraddha (Stree), and Parineeti. THESE should be her contemporaries. Deepika, Anushka, Priyanka are not her equals - they have more experience, have struggled, and are ahead of her.

yes i agree. i saw this video of her on youtube once where she said something i sang before shraddha or something. and the way she said it ..and i was seriously like eww.

she also said something about parineeti's style on a show. and again my response ewww.

I think people must find this trait where actors are self absorbed attractive but it is not imo. kareena is the only one who can pull it off.

hence, not a fan of her off screen. she can just stick to the screens with all her opportunities.😆
