Herd mentality

ITV follows the herd mentality 🥱 when one person creates something, almost everyone begins to do the same. It started off in the 2000s when Ekta made those saas bahu K serials. Other producers started making similar type of shows.

now the trend is the so called supernatural shows 🤢 the genre is not bad however ITV has made a joke out of it. There used to be good ones in the past. Now producers don't do the research properly just add in a naagin, chudail and shit vfx and hey it becomes a supernatural show 😆 🤢 characters, execution and storyline are weak that's why they suck.

I wonder what the next trend in ITV will be in 10-15 years time. Maybe so called sci fi shows.

Nobody wants to experiment. There were some path breaking shows but they failed to garner good ratings due to the flawed TRP system 😡 forget about an out of the box show, at present there are barely any normal shows now.

This herd mentality and faulty rating system has deteriorated ITV. Along with the fact that all shows are telecasted in the daily format instead of airing it as a tv series with finite seasons in place which would give writers more time to come up with better ideas.

Until and unless somebody brings major improvement to the way things work in the industry, good shows will also meet with a similar fate to Bepannaah 🥱
