Uh. Why these lyrics cause the meaning of Gud and Meetha are well known in the desi lgbtq+ community. Its pretty derogatory. Hoping it's just a bad coincidence. How did the writer miss this. Arent they trans? 😕
Other than that it was nice! That other girl is pretty. That lil bit when Sonam blushes looking at her but the guy thinks it's because of him 😆
I honestly feel that this is a tongue in cheek nod to the gay plot. Its been a common practice for writers to slip in nods, especially in the era when they couldn't create openly gay characters. Xena: Warrior Princess had so many "references" that it can be safely assumed that Xena and Gabrielle were lesbian lovers. The old L&O SVU seasons threw in bones for the Benson & Cabot shippers. Even modern show writers will throw in a nod to the AO3 shippers like - SuperCat and SuperCorp nods in Supergirl.

That moment was the cutest. This song, in general, is interestingly cut. It is such a generic Bollywood number that unless you pay close attention, you will completely miss the looks and blushes Sonam has on account of the other girl. To me, Gud and Meetha just add a whole extra layer to the song. But I have been a historically hopeless tinfoil hat slash shipper.
