The Crowned Clown

Synopsis:-

Joseon is in a state of disorder due to uprisings and a power struggle surrounding King Lee Hun (Yeo Jin-Goo). To avoid assassination, a clown named Ha Sun (Yeo Jin-Goo) is brought to the palace to take the place of King Lee Hun. Ha Sun looks almost identical to King Lee Hun.

When Ha Sun was a child, his parents died during an epidemic. Ha Sun almost died from starvation around that time, but he was saved by a group of clowns. Ha Sun grew up with the clowns and became one of them. During their performance, Ha Sun would play King Lee Hun due to their similar physical appearance. Now, Ha Sun is nervous that someone in the palace will find out he is not the real king. He falls for beautiful Queen Yoo So-Woon (Lee Se-Young).

I saw 1st episode..Was totally impressed with Jin Goo acting..The 1st episode belongs to him!!! Being a heartless King who kills his own kid brother and a clown who makes other smile!!! 👏 What a contrast!!!

First 2 episodes r very impressive. Real king so cruel..I really thought he was sending his bro off instead of killing but he didn't. Also wen he knows that shin guy is only using him y he approves his orders?

Queen wants to counsel the king .how by rejecting him? Couldn't she do it with love. If she showed trust loyalty n support twds king ,he wudnt hv gone crazy. I hope there is more to their story.

ML omg he is grown up so much I feel old.. such an amazing actor he has become. Playing 2 different character in a same show with such finesse. Hats off.

Queen looks older than him..lol but anyone look older than him except Kim yoo jung.. I hope they work together again.

Ps: this show reminds me of prem ratan dhan payo. Loll

Even I thought he send him away to save him..But killed him..How cruel!!! It was shocking!!!

I think he has no choice but to go with that Left State Counsellor..King is more like a puppet..Not to the extreme like in 100 Days My Husband..

Every King in all kdrama is paranoid and evil..Why so???

Agree..Queen should have turned King into good with love and dedication rather than staying away by supporting other girls to be a cocubine..

And Ha Sun falling for Queen..Don't know how its gonna be..Queen should know the truth..Even then it will be adultery..Even I felt she looked old with those makeup in her alone scenes too..May be they wanted to show us that way..

Ya..He is very young..Child artist turning into Heroes..Can be paired with other child actress turning heroine like Kim So Hyun, and Kim Sae-ron, etc..They will look good!!!

Second episode was hearbreaking with what happened to King's Maid and Ha Sun's sister!!!

The first two episodes were very well done. Laid the foundation for future plots. And the ML is such a great actor! Ruthless as a king and goofy and mischievous as a clown. Superb acting! They could have casted a better FL though. So far she's alright. Hope I warm up to her.

However, I don't believe that it is the queen's responsibility to turn him into a good person. He should have some inherent humanity to begin with. If I was in her place even I would reject the king if he kept acting like a wannabee Hitler, especially after killing his own brother. Why should the women always take blame for a man's actions?

I didn't say or believe that it's Queen's

responsibility to change him.

She herself said she counseled him and want him to be better person n king. So she should work on it right.

Like her father was so dedicated towards the king. And wanted only peace and asked her to take care of king.

I felt the real king had feelings for queen. That's y I feel he wud hv listened to her if she handled him well. She cud still reject physical relationship but be a friend first.

But I wonder why no one questions the way Ha Sun behaving..He is complete opposite of Lee Hun in mannerisms!!!

They are so busy in plotting and planning to kill the king that they don't care about he behaves😆

In fact king has been already acting so odd...some more odd behaviour might not effect it😆

Either way the minister is trying his best to control his kindness but personality don't change in a day😊
