I thought this too initially but I don't remember Babita calling any man her age (outside family) bhaiya' only the older guys.

I also thought the fact that Hanuman can't look Babita in the eye was because of his shyness / romantic interest but it looks like (per the conversation with Dadaji last episode) it was just a sign of respect.

So there's a lot of duality to each of their interactions my guess is, this is so the writers can hedge their bets in case Aniruddh needs to leave. He seems to be taking on a lot of projects!

I think, if Hanuman is supposed to be the romantic lead, then we may see more concrete signs in the Lohri episode when Babita gets dressed up. She doesn't seem to be wearing her manglesutra in the pics so that might be a positive sign.

There are a number of physically strong father figure type characters on TV called Hanuman Singh' at the moment (not just in the usual saas bahu serials but web series too).

It's also a very common first name in that part of Punjab / Haryana. So the name shouldn't be an issue, I don't think.

In fact I think it really suits him and have no doubt that the writers wouldn't consider it a barrier in terms of a romantic storyline.

The biggest issue in my opinion is that Aniruddh is constantly talking about taking on more serials / movies and how Patiala Babes is a for now' job. This could be a deliberate move to negotiate more money etc (I hope!), but for a daily format like this the romantic lead does need to be available for regular shooting!!

@bold i too had the same doubt while knowing he has too many web series or films to do,how will he manage cos a Lead should be available for more than 16 hours in a day 6 days in a week still it's not easy 😲

I guess it could be possible while he isn't involved in any of the major plotlines, but the minute he is he will need to make a choice. Maybe if the TRP continues to grow and he begins to receive accolades for his work he'll remain.
