Well ideologically yes, it can be called the worst movie cause it was propaganda, propaganda and more propaganda. The way they put all the blame on the media for his own horrific faults when media is the reason the guy's even relevant. Hirani had a one track mind and that is to clean Sanjay's image and he was successful as far as the GP goes. So many of my friends who never kept up with Bolly started sympathesizing with Sanjay after watching the movie. More so with Sunil though. Mahest Bhatt confirms the same that Sanju was whitewashed. So yeah I understand why a completely whitewashed criminal's movie can be someone's worst film of the year. It was kinda tacky to do that. And people educated enough about his life understand that.

But cinematically or techinically I don't think it's the worst of the year. Its Hirani's weakest though and exposed his weaknesses as a director too. But worst? Nope.

That can happen when you are 15 not when you are a full grown man. I can excuse a teenager but not an adult. As an adult one has to take responsibility. I haven't seen him repent anywhere! I don't know why people excuse anyone who hasn't shown any remorse! Instead he went to Kwk & advised Madhuri to stay at home! Or refuses to let his daughter do what she wants when he never really took care of her! The nerve of the ass!

@bold: His exact words were that "Trishala wanted to be an actress and I wanted to break her legs." W*F man!!

I lost respect the day I came to know that he abandoned his wife when she had cancer and was having affairs with other women while she was undergoing treatment. Another aspect from Sanjay's life very conviniently missing from the propaganda movie made by Hirani to whitewash his friend's image.🤢

How the heck did hirani conveniently forgot to show Sanjay's first wife and first kid... because that would show what an awful husband/father he was?!?!?

It was definitely a propaganda movie to whitewash sanjay's character. However, it wasn't the worst movie of the year.
