I watched and read everything dont worry lol and I still find her commenting without knowing the issue problematic. Rani's statement was completely different and her answer is completely different. No matter what the media told her, if she didnt know she shouldn't have commented. Nobody ever said women should be discouraged to fight, why should the need to fight arise is the issue.
So woman being told to shut up about their me too stories, threatened, judged, being called liars etc. are not discouraged? How is society not discouraging them and stopping them from fighting for their justice? Discouragement comes in many forms. Both mental and societal. Some woman are strong enough to strand up for themselves and as society, we should celebrate and support that strength and that conversation is also entirely relevant as it pertains to the Me too movement. Plus I think you are being way too nitpicky here, there was literal honking behind her to get out of the way. And her statements contained nothing wrong, nor supported rani's statements at all. She purely gave her opinions on 'empowerment' and how strong women should be encouraged to give their strength to other women, through NGOs and such.
Plus, her movie is coming out in less than 25 days which she is a solo female star of, she doesn't have the liberty to simply ignore media and walk away.
