Hichki is an average movie that I'd never watch again in my life. TZP is a once in a decade kind of pathbreaking movie, which I've seen at least ten times so far and still don't get bored watching it. It's got terrific repeat value

For a seemingly arty type slow movie, it has immense repeat value.
Hichki is one of the best movies this year but TZP is an all time classic. TZP's story was moving, the music was brilliant, the performances from Darsheel to Tisca to Aamir to Ishan's father everyone was phenomenal. Dyslexia was just a part of the movie. While the movie educated people on this syndrome, the fact is Dyslexia can be replaced with anything and the movie can be still soo relatable.. Ishan's imagination, His mother's dilema, his brother's sorry state being caught up between being 1st boy of the class and having a 'failure' bro, even the teachers - all these feelings are universal.
Also TZP was released 10 years back. While stories like Hichki are now getting acceptance more easily it was not at all an easy time to find acceptance of such movies 10 years back. TZP really touched that chord to attain the cult status
