It's a question of ethics, it's like a company that only hires only white people, or company that hires only men, or company that hires <insert variable>, Kjo's variable is bollywood kids, this is no different to the ancient caste system which prevented people from a profession cause they were not "insiders", it's the discriminatory nature of it that people are criticising. Yes, it's his money, but he's also a massive bellend as well, and we will continue to critique him.

In this case i can't blame Karan. It's his money his production and he can offer a movie if he wants to or doesn't . Maybe he didn't want to be THAT rude and didn't say it in his face and rather gave him a number so that someone else did say it.
It's not the same case what he did to Anushka and ranveer interfering in their casting and trying to convince Aditya not to cast them.
