I have been scratching my head to think hard of BW songs in 2018 that were original (not remakes) and went on to become raging hits... I cant think of any 😕

When I think of hit songs 2018... dilbar, bom diggy even the recent aankh maare come to mind and all of them are remixes of old songs..

The only recent original big hit song I can think of is Swag se swagat... but that came out in 2017.

Why is it that original songs are not becoming hits? Everywhere I am only seeing films living off of the glory of olden tunes. The two songs released from SIMBBA, both are remakes.

Whats the reason for this. Have music composers become this lazy?

Chogada Tara, perhaps. Har jagah that song keeps playing.
It isn't laziness. The nostalgia factor works cus audience loves it. So they won't stop remaking songs.

Nope. Even that is not a fully original song. Chogada tara is a popular old garba song:

I dont think its just nostalgia. Music used to be much more melodious and catchy before, I believe.

It's really sad. No creativity and efforts. Once in a while one remake is fine. But every album is having more than one remake. And too much of neha Kakkar.
Ghoomar, kar har maidaan fateh, dhadak song were few original songs I liked.

No wonder Akshaye not interested in Bollywood. Aamir khan is a very selfish actor and a fake friend....
