Hi dear...interesting topic and interesting phase too... 😳 ...had lots of distractions that day too for young and beautiful girls and boys...though we are from Mumbai and happened to go to the most happening college were always good girls šŸ˜† just did not think much about having boyfriends and stuff as we luckily got so much love and pampered at home and in our buildings it was super fun.
But if someone like Sameer were to come in my life that time not sure what I would have done :) LOL
But I know about some very scandalous affairs those days ..scandalous by 90s standard offcourse..though for some it may sound very common these days. 2 of them I will pen it down here.

One friend in college I remember typical middleclass Tamil Brahmin family...studious types...never knew much about her besides meeting her during going to college and like all good girls used to be with us in our group..then all of a sudden after TY heard that after a week she had eloped and got married... 😲 we were shocked and then slowly the story started unfolding...it seems she was seeing this guy who was staying in our opposite bldg...though he used to stare at me too but I was too shy to bother and give bhaav...she was asking some people who knew him personally about the guy's whereabouts..the guy was really handsome but jobless šŸ˜† ..this girl was ok lookswise but brilliant in studies...typical conservative family..the boy was a Malayalee 😃
it so happened after the final exams the girls drops a bomb in the form a letter to her Parents kept on a table that she was getting married and was leaving...just like that. šŸ˜• Imagine her poor parents shock and agony.
Then we get to know that it seems his Sister had come to meet her Parents seeking her Brothers hand for the girl...obviously they just refused point blank...her Mom was very angry with another close friend of hers who never revealed the secret to her obviously.
Then after a few months at the station I bump into this girl with her Parents and happily pregnant šŸ˜‰ and it seems she scored a first class in her final exams..wow even after all this...and was studying for her CA exams...the Son in law was accepted by the Parents and family. so Happy ending šŸ‘šŸ¼ but can't imagine what all her Parents had to go through initially and the guts this dame had.

Ok another story was another close friend of mine who happens to be my Dad's friend cum colleagues daughter and also we both used to work together...When I remember her now just imagine her lovestory to be something like out show but offcourse she was a bold bindaas girl not like our Naina. She met her bf now husband in college and they were dating and and used to meet every evening after office hrs and every night he used to call on her landline (no mobile those days) and they used to speak for a long time. Her Parents were liberal but did not know she was talking to her BF I guess as most of the times they used to be away. After some years and after initial hungama and fights they got married with their Parents approvals and now they have a teenaged daughter.
šŸ‘ ..so happy ending in this case too.
