Star Plus' popular show Ishqbaaaz starring Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna in lead roles will soon see Chandna making an exit from the show post the generation leap. The show will then shift focus to the love story of Shivaansh Singh Oberoi, which will be played by Nakuul. The makers are currently looking for the female lead for the show. Names of Drashti Dhami and Sanaya Irani, who have previously worked with producer Gul Khan, were said to be in contention for the role.
A report recently suggested that Drashti is almost finalised to romance Nakuul Mehta in IB. However, when we contacted Drashti to confirm the reports, she said, "No, I am not joining Ishqbaaaz." Well, that puts the record straight. We, however, hear that the makers might rope in a fresh face for the role. We have no confirmation on the same. On the other hand, Surbhi Chandna, in a Twitter post, recently announced that she is signing off as Annika.
