The cat and mouse game

So I've been confused a lot over the last few days about Anurag and Prerna and Kasauti. What are the writers trying to say? They are playing the same car and mouse game with us as Prerna and Anurag are playing with each other.

Today first dialogue between them was a typical example. On the one hand they both know in their hearts exactly what they feel for the other. Not only to they know but Anurag gets irritated with Prerna for even questioning him and asking him to accept what he think she should understand without words... But then it's almost like they know the Kasauti that will come their way if they go down this road... and that makes them scared to admit what they are feeling and acknowledge what the other feels towards them.

Some of this turmoil is normal because Prerna is of course engaged to be married to someone else. Some of it is also historical- like they've been fighting this for longer than anyone has known.

It is like both are waiting for the other to give the green signal.

Must be the fact that Pre is about to marry in 3 days that is holding them back. And as you said they have been denying their liking for the other for so long that they might be confused if this is the real thing... What if it goes back to how it was before. What if this feeling is just a desperate escape route?

After that failed attempt to get Shekhar's payslips it seems Pre has given up about getting the loan.

Sometimes I hate the writers but never ever when it comes to the development of Anurag and Prerna's relationship. You are right - It's like they both want the other to be the one to force them to admit.

Prerna has always kmagined that Anurag is not her type and that he doesn't like many things about her and that's why he stopped played with her. So she thinks it's all one sided ... she is also desperate to help her family and her friendship with Anurag is to precious to be tainted with her domestic concerns. but Anurag is right deep inside she can read his eyes.

Anurag doesn't want to love prerna. He does not believe in love. He has spent his life believing in being good, doing right. He has never put any relationship above that. Love is too messy for someone like Anurag. Or is it? He does not want to admit it but is also angry with her for not recognising it immediately in him. For not putting his words and his opinions about Naveen and anything else above all else.

This is such a true and accurate reflection of friends discovering feeling for each INSPITE of not wanting to.

As you said Anu never wanted to fall in love.. And the feelings that he is going through is all making him feel strange and hard for him to accept that its love for him.. He is looking for Prerna to help him find out his feelings may be.. But Pre being bundled up in her own conflict of emotions is unable to help him find out.. And that frustrates and scares him even more.. Pre toh though can easily recognize her feelings she's limiting herself not to get there.. And Anu's in between lines confession is worrying her as if she knows whats coming next and with her own feelings for him she will only create trouble for both.

Let's see who does what..😉.

Right!!! Nicely said PP. he is confused and looking for answers from her. He himself denied with sid and now he is asking her... confused souls... prerna can figure this our but her state of mind is not allowing her to and that is making him frustrated.. i wonder what led to precap ... eagerly waiting to play out

this is exactly happing to anupre

pre-she never thought she will fall in love with anj when she is gtg married anu.

anu-he actually never thought he can fall in love

so both my kids r scared & confuse

I think for me as a viewer and a lover of both characters- even with all their flaws, that I have written about galore - is for both of them to realise their love and admit it to each other before the Naveen reality comes out. I hope the writers realise that this is important to maintain be integrity of the characters.

I dont think marriage is A road-Block here for prerna to accept her love with Anurag...Her family is in her support, she will obviously get support from Maloy and Anu if she wants to break the marriage and more over the girl feels creepy around Navin, may be she is still sticking only because of the reason of Money...in reality this is not logical considering she is educated, she can discuss this with Family and ofcourse all can work hard and repay the Loan apart from marrying Navin...

I believe what is holding them back is their own feelings...till date they were seeing each other as friends and in recent past many events have effected them to make them realize they are more than friends...though they understand this they are rejecting and denying their own feelings going on path of friendship🥱

The sole reason why they dont want to accept might be this reason as both of them are worried about what the other person will think if they get to know each other's feelings...what if they loose other person due to this new found feelings...what if they loose their friendship of these many years because of the beautiful feelings that is getting groomed at present...

They both respect each other and they need each other in life...so I see the only reason for them from denying the truth is the fact that they are scared to loose each other's friendship if they confess their feelings

I totally agree. Obviously once the admit it they will need to deal with the whole marriage to Naveen issue. But that's not what is stopping them. It is the friendship and one more thing.

I truly think the strength of what they are feeling is scaring them. Prerna talked about falling in love - but theory is different from practice and what she feels for Anurag is scary.

And Anurag never ever expected or wanted this. This overwhelming feeling he has towards Prerna.
