But Kalavati's magic formed a skeleton army and Mrityunjay, Tara and Guruji had to fight them off!!!!
Don't take an old witch for granted! She came prepared as well!
Cutting them down actually led to their increasing in number!!!!

Good that Jayraj and his men reached there and joined the fight!!!!

The moment Jayraj saw his son for the first time even though it was in the middle of the battle was wonderful!!!!

Now Kalavati attacked Tara with her spells but Tara fended it off!!!!

She shocked to see Tara knows magic as that kind of evens out the fight a bit!!!!

Kalavati now conjured up sandmen which were invincible and kept getting created no matter how many they cut down!!!!
Bad for MriAra team and good for Kala
Tara is too good and conjured water to destroy them!!!!
The girl has tricks up her sleeves!
Oh no!!!    Tara was hit by Kalavati's magic!!!!
Poor girl!
And now Mrityunjay and the others are trapped in cages of bones!!!!

Can't see Meethi's condition😭

Tara got hurt so much while running to meet MJ😭

Loved MJ tending her wounds😃

Hope MJ find Adi soon😊

Previous update on Page 62

The Final Battle

Kalavati again started her chanting. The totem and the eye had moved back to their original positions when Tara had broken Kalavati's chanting. Tara winched trying to get up. When she was stable on her foot, she noticed Mrityunjay and the others were in cages made of bones. They were trying to break out of it but their efforts were going in vain. She then looked at the Vault and saw the previous two symbols were rearranging themselves. She squinted her eyes and stretched her hands with her palms joined while standing in front of the cages. She moved her hands apart causing the walls of the cages to part as well.

Soon all the knights, the King, Guruji, and Mrityunjay were free from it. But this magic weakened her a little, making her unable to heal from the previous attack of Kalavati. But ignoring it, she focused her attention on Kalavati.

Mrityunjay tromped towards Kalavati but before he could reach her, she threw a fireball at him. Tara immediately formed a shield in front of him causing the fireball to strike the invisible shield.

The King was now coming towards Kalavati. She noticed him and summoned the stones lying nearby into stone golems and commanded them to attack the King and his knights. Tara again tilted her head to see three-quarters of the moon eclipsed by the umbra and it had turned a dark red. She felt time slipping by like sand escaping through her fingers. She concentrated and started throwing fireballs one after the other at Kalavati without stopping for a breath. She felt her body drained of all energy for a moment.

Kalavati was furious with Tara by now. She opened a small bottle and threw it towards Tara.

"Tara, move away!" Guruji yelled.

Hearing him, Tara looked up at Kalavati but before she could understand what was happening, the bottle smashed on her arm. As soon as the potion inside the bottle came in contact with Tara, she became as still as a statue.

Mrityunjay was a few paces away from her fighting with a giant golem. Seeing her still, he ducked from the golem and rushed to her. He held her in his arms. Govind and the King also rushed towards Tara. The knights formed a circle around them and continued to fight the invincible golems.

Mrityunjay shook Tara but she didn't move. She was stiff like a statue. The only difference between any statue and her was that her face was not frozen and she was breathing. "Tara...Tara!!!" he shook her roughly to get a response from her.

Kalavati laughed and said, "That girl is never going to move." Mrityunjay paled.

"What-what...why am I unable to move?" Tara asked, sensing her body below the neck stiff as a stick.

When Govind reached her, he examined the liquid on her arm and the colour from his face drained. "It's squid ink, harvested from the rarest species of squid found in the deepest of oceans. A very rare magical item."

Kalavati yelled and laughed again. Mrityunjay looked at Guruji. Guruji looked helplessly at his daughter. "She is paralyzed for some time. I don't know how long it will take for her to come out of it." Saying this, he caressed her face.

"No!!!" Tara cried.

Mrityunjay looked at Kalavati with furious eyes, anger radiating from him. He laid Tara carefully on the ground and parting his way through the knights, he walked towards Kalavati. Kalavati smirked at him. He lunged at her with his sword drawn to stab her heart. But she was ready for his attack. She defended herself by taking his attack on the flat of her blade and pushed him, causing him to fall back a few steps.

Now she lunged at him. Mrityunjay ducked, which caused Kalavati to fall. She rose again and attacked him. This time Mrityunjay held her attack with the flat of his sword. She looked into his eyes and started chanting some spell to compel him to do her bidding but after a few moments, Mrityunjay pushed her back.

First, she was confused how her chant didn't work. Then she understood. "So you have the Pearl!!!" she exclaimed in horror. She paled remembering her banishment spell had broken and he was able to return to the Capital.

He ignored her comment and jumped at her. She recovered from her shocked state and ducked his attack causing him to stumble.

"Mrityunjay, it's almost there. You have to do it now," yelled Guruji, who was sitting near a frozen Tara.

Hearing this, Mrityunjay again leapt at Kalavati but this time she raised some sandmen again which held him captive at his place. Soon there were many sandmen surrounding them. The King joined Mrityunjay in fighting with the sandmen.

Guruji looked at Tara. She was still frozen like a statue. "I can only hope that this magic wears off soon, Child. Mrityunjay can't do it alone. You have to help him," Govind whispered in Tara's ear.

Tears trickled from her eyes. They had not come this far to lose it. She prayed the magic wears off soon. She felt a painful tingling in her body but she kept on summoning the sensation back in her body. Tara fluttered her eyes and drew a deep breath and then suddenly froze.

Mrityunjay was struggling to free himself from the sandmen when he saw Tara not breathing. "Tara!!!" he screamed.

Tara's eyes shot open and she sat up in an instant. The world was still spinning for her. "Tara, you need to help Mrityunjay. We don't have time," Guruji panicked. She nodded and got to her feet with his help. Guruji helped to move her out, away from where the knights and golems were fighting. He stood beside her to protect her from any attack coming towards her and without wait a golem attacked them.

She again tilted her head to check how much time she had and saw the moon was totally dark and giving out a reddish hue or what was known as the blood moon. The white light of the moon was nowhere to be seen. She first lit up the place with light globes by flicking her wrists. After the place was well lit, she saw the King and Mrityunjay standing together, their backs joined, surrounded by sandmen. Then her eyes snapped beside them and she saw Kalavati freely chanting spells.

Tara conjured water and again all the sandmen melted away. When Mrityunjay found himself free, his head turned to look where Tara was and he took a breath of relief seeing her standing. Without wasting any time, he jumped at Kalavati who was chanting. Tara looked at the Vault and saw the last symbol rearranging itself. She needed to move Kalavati away from there and break her chanting right now.

The King was fighting with a golem near Mrityunjay. She then looked at Guruji who was fighting with another golem and knew she was on her own now. She used aerokinesis to send a gust of wind towards Kalavati to knock her out of her place. It knocked Kalavati down. But she was not fast enough. It was too late.

By now, all the symbols had arranged themselves in their correct positions. Tara was stunned. She looked at Mrityunjay who was about to draw the sword through Kalavati. She threw a large fireball on Kalavati setting her ablaze. Mrityunjay ran his sword through her heart and then drew it back from her. His sword was now blazing with fire. He beheaded her using the same blazing sword. She once more conjured a fireball and threw it on Kalavati causing Kalavati to burn more ferociously and turn into ashes.

Kalavati resumed her chanting with Mrityunjay and the rest out of the way!!!!😔 😔 😔 😔

Thankfully Tara freed everyone from the cages with her magic!!!! 😊 😊 😊 😊

But using magic is making her weaker!!!!

It was nice to see Tara form a shield to save Mrityunjay!!!!😊 😊 😊 😊

Now Kalavati with her never ending tricks conjured up stone golems to fight the King and his army!!!!😒 😒 😒 😒 😒

Tara throwing fireballs at Kalavati was too good!!!!👏 👏 👏 👏

But Kalavati used squid ink on her and unfortunately that would leave her unable to fight Kalavati for a while!!!!

I loved it when Mrityunjay rushed to Tara and held her!!!!❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Mrityunjay went to fight Kalavati in anger which was a bad idea!!!!👎🏼 👎🏼 👎🏼 👎🏼

But thankfully he fought back well when Kalavati defended herself!!!! 😊 😊 😊 😊

When Kalavati's spell did not work on him, she figured out that he has the Pearl!!!!😛 😛 😛 😛

Time is running out and now Kalavati conjured up sandmen!!!!😲 😲 😲 😲

Tara was fighting to free herself and finally she was free though still a bit weak!!!!😊 😊 😊 😊

Her magic got rid of the sandmen and Mrityunjay was so relieved to see her up again!!!!😊 😊 😊 😊 👍🏼 👍🏼 👍🏼 👍🏼

Finally both of them together managed to kill Kalavati just as was predicted!!!!😊 😊 😊 😊 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏

The chapter was exhilarating!!!!👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
