I maintain that Mauli is in love with Ishaan but because of the betrayal she has faced she is afraid. It is true that the sudden reappearance of Kunal has brought up a lot of confusion. This is only natural. It will take some time for her to get over the shock.

I wonder if somehow Ishaan will go away (maybe he will think she accepted his proposal under duress) and perhaps this will trigger her to admit her feelings.

I don't trust the writers; however, I feel there is love between the two. Like everyone else, I am crossing my fingers. IF Mauli chooses Kunal, then what can be said about her character in the end? I think many of us will feel cheated.
