He couldn't keep up with the time and change. He is still stuck in the early 90s. Almost 3 decades have passed since then. His movies were good for his time. When I watch HAHK I can appreciate a bahu/bhabi like Renuka's character even though I don't believe in it. I can go along with with Madhuri and Salman making their sacrifice because of the time they lived in. If you pull that type of story line today instead of respecting such sentiments people will cringe and die. We don't believe in unrealistic values and grand sacrifice when you can easily sort things out another way. That's why PRDP was so bad. That movie probably would've worked in 90s, not in today's day and age. No one today behave like that
I remember once Sooraj Barjatya said he is like Prem. Prem changed with him. Prem grew up as he grew up and Prem is a reflection of whatever phase of life he was in. Well now Sooraj B. is 54, unfortunately he can't write Prem as a man in his 50s. So he has been trying to write these young characters but he doesn't know anything about them.

I’ll admit this upfront — I never quite warmed to Daniel Craig as James Bond. He was intense, yes. Brooding, yes. But the magic everyone spoke...
