If sumi don't have self respect so Bela 2 don't have self respect which self respecting women will tolerate double meaning dialogues silently when her husband is sitting right before her

Or tolerate d person who portraying her character less in d name of protecting her

Sumi is definitely not a weak character , nor she lacks morals , she is a person who bounded d whole family

Maybe sumi tolerate this coz of her children she dint wanted her children 2 grow without father, that's don't make her weak

If don't know d reason of something , it's better don't point finger on anyone

Everyone respect sumi , even Andy also don't go against sumi. She is was d one who gave morals 2 mahir

They will question u back so people like that won't interfere and that's what sumi maa doing now .

Largely I agree because we are saying similar things. To that point, the writers are at fault here in a very big way for making her character so flat. She has been shown as a thoughtful and loving mother to Mahir, caring towards Kuhu but in this track she has been showcased un-involved going against how they portrayed her earlier. Parents do all kinds of wrongs and know they have been wrong but for most parents that doesn't stop them correcting their children, children may may not listen but parents find it hard to stand by and watch kids lead their life without making some comment, having some talk with them, some indication that I am here regardless of which way you go.. it appears the writers have not decided whether to make her negative or no and are possibly gauging viewer opinions to decide further. Now the story seems to lack a punch, it is surviving on the cast- Surbhi has done better, she seems so wooden in some of her reactions and her make up is just frightening which is sad because she looks so good in her photo shoots. Pearl has thankfully done a makeover from him Abeer days- he at least looks nicer and could fit into Maahir's shoes, Rajat- amazing as he has been in his previous roles, I am not liking his grey role, I'd rather he went brutally negative and gave it his all because I know he has the capacity to. Anita was cast well and did well as well as looked amazing. So unfortunate, i find myself talking about the looks and adding that to the character's persona but I guess it is a visual art form and looks have as much role to play as their body language, dialogue delivery and other elements.

It's very subtle but sweet revenge for her to keep Andy in her life..

It's like the message is clear

She keeps him constantly reminded that she owns everything.

Managing that money is a bigger problem and to face that alone is the greatest strength

Allowing cheater husband to manage u r money and u partying all the time and then crying aloene us weakness

It will be interesting to see why Sumitra has kept Andy and entertains Polo when clearly no one including Andy treats her with such little respect. Is she confident in her role has the controller of finances, concerned for the image portrayed to the world and thus accepting of his children from Poulomi- ( we are privy to how they are at home and with each other but have hardly much idea of how they are outside in the social world except for during RJ's movie premier but that was uneventful), it could also be Sumitra is non-confrontational. Frankly all can be interesting possibilities if the writers choose to round up her character. Not sure how motivated they are to give secondary characters any depth. I believe half the season is over and they still have a lot of details to cover, questions to answer and doubts to clear in this time frame- sounds challenging and a complete set up for loose ends left loose. Still the sheer number strength on this forum itself is evidence of the viewers interest in the show, they aren't going anywhere yet and the writers know that very well.

I doubt if Sumitra will get any character development. But she will be an interesting character to develop should they choose to do it.

But I am afraid she will be portrayed as a camp and that will be that .

Hi cherry sumitra is shown as sweet mom which is very strange from the start.she has no problems staying with Andy who has another woman in his life .i think she has mystery behind it which the makers will reveal later in the show.Sumitra should have questioned Yuvi or Bela atleast
