First of all, let me admit that I, too, am guilty of being a sucker for romantic scenes 😳😆😉 After yesterday's mind boggling episode & equally epic precap 😆😆 I decided that best way to handle d googly thrown at us by cvs is by going through detailed analyses & reactions put up by fd & the great fd that the show has, it never disappoints in trolling it's own show in the most hilarious way possible 😆😆 Perks of being fan of a show enjoyed by sensible & intelligent audience 👏

Now coming back to topic, one common & justified complain that we have from cvs is that we are not getting enoug h romantic scenes of AdiYa as we get to see in other shows. That got me thinking why we crave for such scenes so much? Why consumation scenes become such a big deal in our shows? When I look back to d serials on doordarshan in earlier days during my childhood the shows were far more progressive in concept but most of d romantic scenes were implied barring a few. Same goes with pakistani shows... be it Zindagi gulzar hai or any other show... The romance is not shown by physical proximity as such.. (Correct me if I'm wrong) even then these shows r considered to be iconic & r loved for their romantic flair. So why this craving for intimate scenes in our shows ? Why we r not happy with hand holds, romantic conversations anymore? (In our show cvs r not even showing that 😡)
P.S. Just a random thought for discussion

I was not very turned down by the lack of romance on the Friday's episode. It gave me many other elements to think about.

I guess the other viewers are disappointed by the lack of romance. My only suggestion to the disappointed viewers is patience.

We have seen Adiya connect at the emotional level so beautifully and may be somewhere around the corner we will see them connect at the physical level.

There is something exciting for us in the coming episodes. Because I don't think Zoya will ever blame Anjana, for anything unless she has concrete evidences which I don't think the blackmailer has, Aditya getting disappointed by Zoya, I don't understand that too. I think both Aditya-Zoya are playing games with the blackmailer giving her what she wants so that she reveals herself soon, albeit independently.

Even I am not keen on a consummation sequence but since JenShad r the USP of the show I want to see a balance in romance n suspense.

But Mandy, there's a reason they're called trp aunties. Her shows maximum viewers belong to 40+, 50+ age group. Those are all Doordarshan era viewers only. They have watched Hum log, Buniyaad, Swabhimaan, Shanti and they have also watched Kyunki, Kahani, etc. The fact is they find Ekta's shows entertaining. They don't care for logic anymore because Ekta has proved that shows without logic can be entertaining too. That's the reason her shows are ruling the charts.

I don't think only age group is deciding factor here. Otherwise I don't know how Naagin series is topping online trp charts where majority is youth. I think it's more of people preferring gloss over content. Don't get me wrong, totally my opinion, but early era doordarshan viewers were mostly Upper & middle class b'coz then even tv was luxury. I remember in my village, ours was the only house with tv & whole village used to come there to watch Ramayan & Mahabharat. Now with economic liberalization & globalization satellite channels and TV were household items. Now content was created to cater for this lower strata the ones who are not that much thinking audience. The other group is housewives basically family audience already caught in web of day to day problems. They want escapist entertainment where after hard day's work they just enjoy candy floss romance & larger than life celebrations basically a dream life. TRP's r generated there. It's not that ekta doesn't produce good shows. She is shrewd she knows different compartments of audience too well & cater accordingly.
The upper & middle strata particularly youth has moved on to netflix, amazon & webseries. There you can look for content.
So I don't think age is only criteria here.
