Nice Post Priya and you gave different angle to it.

To some extent I agree but I don't think Taiji can find escape route just because she was taunted so she became stone hearted and now she is taking a revenge.

She didn't have her own child, agreed! But she could have adopted Arjun or Naina and could have given them motherly love and answered back to the society by this sweet gesture.

I am not trying to justify her actions.. it's just a reasoning for her behaviour or nature.

This is not today's age when adopting was so easy

Had she done that and even a minor thing happened to the child she would have been blamed for it that when a Baanjh tries to raise a child she passes the bad luck to the child. Nothing can be worse than this.

Plus do you think Rakesh would have allowed her to adopt his children the answer is clear no. He might not be interested in performing his duties but he wants all the rights on his children.

I think the writers have to be blamed for what what happened to her character. For months she was as the matriarch of the houses used to be. Remember earlier Bela thrashed Pralay when he did some mistake with full rights. She couldn't have done that had Taiji been similar to how she is now in fact Bela named him Pralay instead of Prateek and she accepted it(this shows that despite being dominating and strict she gave the rights to her family)

But I guess as the show progressed they couldn't continue with a strict self defensive and yet family oriented character (how most are in real families) they made a complete vamp out of her thankfully she is not plotting n scheming but her character was awesome and near to reality not they are making a fictional character
