*Nandini smiles and hugs Mauli back*

Mauli (interrupts): I mean just look at you. You are back on your feet. You have the love of your life by your side. I mean of course it doesn't matter that he's my husband and that you stole him for me. It doesn't matter that you destroyed my life to make your life whole. It doesn't matter that you keep denying that you did this. It doesn't matter. What matters is that you are this amazing, loving, caring friend.

*Nandini realizes that she's being taunted and becomes teary-eyed*

Nandini: I just wanted to see you happy.

Mauli: Of course you did. After you stole my happiness, you were absolutely right to think that a birthday party was exactly what i needed to make me happy.

Nandini: Mauli please. Please we love each other. It is -

Mauli (interrupting): Yes I know you love each other. But here's the thing. You call yourself my friend right? You gave this birthday party for me. You want to see me happy right?

*Nandini nods through her tears*

Mauli: Good. Then give me my Kunal back. But I don't want this Kunal. No this Kunal isn't mine. I want my Kunal back. The one who loves me and me only. My Jaana. Can you do that? I want that as my present. Can you give him back to me?

*Nandini shakes her head and then runs away crying*

Now this is what I want to see and I hope the writers have planned. The sass, the sarcasm, the taunts. That's what this scene should be all about. Nandini has hurt Mauli so badly that she should hurt just as much.
