Episode 148 - Toothpaste & Black coffee
Episode 1, Aditya needed to be woken up forcefully by his wife and throws a tantrum. He complains his favorite toothpaste is not kept, further forgets her birthday. Cut to episode 148, the same man stays up at night texting his sister in law trying to mend their broken relationship, he wakes up before his wife. He makes her bed tea then remembers a tiny detail that she actually likes black coffee. Runs down to make another cups of coffee.
In the first episode he wanted to celebrate pooja's birthday in Dubai with their friends but today he wants to privately have bed coffee with his wife inside their bedroom because kitchen will be too crowded. Two three servants are also too crowded for him 😆 So much has changed yet the same. He is paying attention to small things that would make his wife happy, he wants the first day in her new house to be special. He is trying to be a better husband this time but the child like innocence in him doesn't go away, he cutely tells her bed tea you don't like so bed coffee I made.
The way aditya stares, damn! How that girl is controlling herself is beyond me, I would be like to hell with kitchen 🤣 Anyway, loved how aditya is a shameless lover who stares at his wife openly with scanner eyes without blinking. More than that I liked how Zoya blushes but doesn't stop him immediately. She continues with her work and in between checks if he is still looking at her. She has a tiny smile too because somewhere she enjoys his looks. Aditya's line, your my wife I have all the rights to stare at you reminded me of all those times Aditya use to stare at zoya during his realization and when Zoya would ask what happened he would look away guilty. He finally has all the rights to stare freely without anyone stopping him.
Zoya's pehli rasoi. I think Zoya wanting to do this rasam says a lot about her changed look and rituals. With Yash she never had the chance of doing any rituals. All she had were bunch of servants roaming around the house doing every little thing for her. She never wore a saree or bindi only MS when she was married to Yash. The way Aditya got bed coffee attempting to be a better husband, Zoya wants to be a better wife by accepting every little detail concerning his lifestyle. (I wish they had retained her nose ring though!) Her line, rasam hee rishton ko jodh ke rakhte hain says a lot. She did not try any rasam last time so the rishte got bitter and bitter with madhu and mahi. Aditya tells her she doesn't have to do it but at the same time has a loving smile on his face watching her trying to accept his family.
The kitchen scene was lovely. Remembered the kitchen scene between Pooja and Aditya which they had shown long back. Aditya had left the kitchen in anger because the memory of it haunted him. Today Zoya washes away the memory from the kitchen and Aditya makes new fond memories in there. He had told Zoya once in the truck in tears that cooking was their thing (Pooja and Adi) But now it has become Aditya and Zoya's thing :)
When Aditya gets the text on his phone, Zoya's expression was really good. She got scared, she thought for a second that he also is getting same creepy messeages like her so she asks him nervously who is it. But then it is not who she thinks it is. Now Aditya telling Zoya he will get her family back was the sweetest! He knows he won't have Zoya completely till he doesn't get her family on board. There will be some parts missing from her if her family is not around. He beautifully says you have accepted my family along with me so I will as well.
Breakfast table, a lot of parallels today 😆 It took me back to the first episode again when we were introduced to the hooda's at the breakfast table. There was so much of tension and cold behavior at the table back then! Aditya who doesn't even sit down to have breakfast with his family walks in with his wife today bringing warmth to the cold table through a sweet dish. This is what was missing from both thier marriages previously. Adi was content with his marriage to Pooja but was still an angry child whom he use to hide from the world and only use to come out when he use to see Harsh infront of him. Today that angry part of him is gone as he watches his wife getting all the attention and acceptance from his father. Pooja never was able to understand that Adi needed to forgive his family in order to make peace with himself, she thought herself and sakshi were enough for him. She was only a beti to sakshi, and bahu to hooda's.
Yash, I kept the creep for the end 😆 Jokes apart, it was a well shot scene actually. Yash in a pool of blood. Yash drowned with his car in deep waters and died (assuming that's what they showed in epi 1) so that's why I guess they showed Zoya dreaming of him inside bloody water. Zoya looks in the mirror and washes her face and stares at herself as Aditya's bride. Aditya's voice from outside breaks through her and she is brought back to reality. She washes away Yash's thoughts from her face and tells herself not to ruin her present. If you observe, Aditya gets Zoya white rose not red along with coffee. Such a contrast to the blood red Yash was lying in. She went inside the bathroom to find Yash's blood but comes out washed away with Aditya's pure white that stares at her lovingly. Yash will take her to the dark blood path, Aditya will wash away that blood with his purity.
PS- I have this nagging feeling that the texts are from sakshi trying to frame anjana infront of Adi. If anjana had mixed something in the drink then it is very obvious the first doubt Adi will have will be on her only. I don't think Anjana is that dumb to actually play her tricks so openly. I think someone wants to get Adi to have a fight with Anjana and Zoya is easy target.
