Maybe Sonam shouldn't have taken Kangana's name but seriously when one sees the actual video, it's clear she wasn't dismissing Kangana in a mean way.
We all have this person who tends to adds up things to their stories and we'd be like "oh, don't pay attention to this one"...
Sonam and Kangana's equation
Sonam doen't seem to dislike Kangana. She invited her at her wedding reception when she could have easily not invited her -and it wouldn't have been weird. She's often supoorted Kangana when the latter had things to say and she was even one of the few people to like MANIKARNIKA's teaser announcement.

Kangana and Sonam seemed cordial enough so I can't understand why she didn't pick up her phone instead of spewing venom this way.

It's interesting that Kangana has so much to say about Vikas' behaviour when only last year she was being careful. So is she opportunistic now that a MeToo movement seems to have taken place in Bwood ? Is she lying ? Or was she simply being a coward become comes what it may she didn't want to burn ALL her bridges ?
Kangana's response :
"Responding to Sonam's statement, Kangana said in an interview to Pinkvilla, "What does she mean by saying, it's hard to believe Kangana'? When I am sharing my Me Too story, who gives her a right to judge me? So, Sonam Kapoor has the license of trusting some women and some she won't. What makes her so unsure of my claims? I am known to be an articulate person and I have represented my country in many international summits. I am called as a thought and youth influencer to these summits, I am not known because of my dad I have earned my place and credibility after struggling for a decade.
Kangana continued, "She isn't known to be a great actress, neither she has the reputation of being a good speaker. What gives these filmy people right to take digs at me? I will demolish each one of them."
1/ I didn't want to believe that Kangana had indeed written these e-mails where she called her contemporaries public properties but now if what is written here is really coming from her mouth then I'd have to believe that and so it's funny that she would question Sonam as a feminist when the latter didn't attack her personnaly and actually supported her.
2/ Her bringing up the nepotism bit was unnecessary just like her talking about Sonam's acting prowess.
Sonam might not be known as the best actress out there but she did deliver just like Kangana has sometimes been found hamming it out.
I'm sure coming in the industry might have been hard for her as an outsider but Sonam has been in the industry for 11 years and is here to stay (hope so) so she must have something that interest directors.
Nepostism might have helped her her initial years and in terms of relations but never have I heard of her snatching a role away from her contemporaries... In fact Anushka, Deepika and Kangana herself flourished (who said she had had more growth than her contemporaries) while Sonam had a lot of high and lows.
So Sonam has also earned credibily has she's rose above mockery and belittling and managed to bring a genre that wasn't present in Bollywood. She also managed to make a name for herself and carve herself a persona.
3/ Sonam might stumble with her words but at least it shows that it's what she means to say. Stumbling with your word doesn't mean you're dumber than someone smoother.
4/Kangana herself is part of "These filmy people"
5/ The demolish them bit is all kind of scary so I do hope Kangana is doing this for her promos...
