Salim anarkali or Salim Nur Jahan?

This serial looks more like Salim Nur jahan than Salim anarkali

Salim anarkali were never childhood friends

But Salim Meherunissa were known to each other in childhood as Nur Jahan father worked for Akbar

And no one knows where anrakali was from??

Actiually if anarakali existed (Like some foreign travellers have mentioned about her) than where was she from no one knows

But here they show shes from Persia and it was Nur jahans family who ran from persia and were attacked by robbers on way etc

Hopefully they do not show later that Anarkali was left alive and came back as Nur Jahan to marry Salim

Really even I was amazed at the similarities with Salim and Mehrunissa's story😆Why didn't they make it about Salim and Mehrunissa then? Mehrunissa was a far more interesting character than Anarkali and grey shaded too

Apparently the original show was supposed to be about Salim and Mehrunissa but the makers decided to change it because they felt they couldn't fight against the legend of Anarkali and its popularity.

Sonarika also clarified that the whole story of Anarkali is fictitious. I guess this means they will take tons of creative liberty. 😆

On the contrary I feel they changed the story coz of the channel's interference.As much as I have understood this channel they prefer their heroines to be abla and depict pain and suffering in the show 😆

Had it been Mehrunissa then it would have become more politically intriguing along with the romantic angle and for all the means and purposes Mehrunissa was a strong woman and she and Salim had the actual love story.

I don't think Anirudh Pathak would have had any problems with depicting a lesser popular Mehrunissa as compared to the more well known Anarkali for he is also the one who created a show on the lesser known Prithvi Vallabh.

And if we think of it then the topic of Anarkali is more risky due to the inevitable comparisons with Mughal e Azam,Dilip Kumar and Madhubala.

So I have a strong feeling that its the channel which influenced the makers to alter the story.

Of coz I might be wrong😆

Oh! I didn't know that Colors was that kind of channel. I haven't really watched their shows except Balika Vadhu a long time ago. After becoming popular because of it, I would have expected them to be more open to taking risks.

Nur jahan is controversy

Because she was married off to a thief turned commander

She was a widow when Salim married her

Its not young romance, its 35+ years old romance which audience may not like

That is whole problem

Nur jahan was a strong woman

Above that a widow

And their love affair started at 35+ years

She had a child from other man

Indian audience may not accept such mature love story
