Episode 138
So yesterday's episode felt a bit of drag but I am still okay with it because it showed where each character stands in all this mess.
To begin with I am glad Zoya took the blame upon herself and apologized to Arshad for keeping him in the dark about her feelings. It reminded me of Shruthi's post from last night about parallels between Pooja and Zoya. Like I said there, I am going to say it here as well that it is never late to redeem your mistake before it becomes a crime. Zoya had the courage to own up to her mistake in public but Pooja hide her mistake and put the blame on Aditya in the pages of her diary. If Zoya had gone through with this wedding, she would have never loved Arshad and would have always had Aditya in her heart which would have been a bigger injustice in a marriage. So she had the courage to tell Arshad that her heart was always with Aditya and she is sorry for pulling him into this. She could have easily twisted her truth and blamed Arshad that he wanted to marry her even after she had told him she is not ready for a relationship. Pooja was a coward, she could not own up to Aditya that she no longer is in love with him, she has another man in her heart. Instead she said Aditya could not give her enough love. What was even more beautiful is that in this whole mess Zoya did not mention Aditya even once. She kept on repeating she couldn't control her heart. She blamed solely herself for the mess.
Aditya, the realization of what is beyond their love was portrayed well. He finally understood today that Zoya's family was at stake at the end of his manzil. A tiny scene before waseem drama started was the way Aditya held Zoya's hand. It a beautiful moment, after zoya's confession they did not have time to even look at each other due to ameena's taunts. So once everyone left, Aditya held her hand to aknowledge acceptance of love she just declared. In those few seconds they exchange a look of understanding.
Aditya today forgot he won the battle, he let go of his pride and kneeled along with Zoya at waseem''s feet for their love. He did not let his lady kneel alone infront of her father, he considers himself equally responsible for this mess and kneels along with her infront of Waseem's pride. Waseem couldn't look him in the eye today because he could not let go of his pride like roshnaq said he is not melting with his daughter's tears then how will he with aditya's words.
Waseem, I guess there has been a lot said about this man so not going to say much. I do understand his frustration and anger. The fact that his daughter insulted his choice and chose for herself casuing a dent to his reputation is understood. But I would like to point out here that he always knew Zoya had feelings for Aditya even before Zoya understood it and he was threatened by it. This whole mess began due to waseem's insecurities about Aditya-Zoya friendship. Waseem did not bring up marriage post leap until aditya came back from paris. Zoya had gone against his wish for Aditya's party so Waseem had brought Arshad to get rid of Aditya. Every step of the way he use to bring arshad so zoya would get separated from Aditya. He should have understood the day zoya ran out of her house on the engagement day. So I would say if Zoya was bad daughter then was Waseem a good father to bring arshad even after his daughter said she wasn't ready? Zoya could have backed out a long back but fear of watching her father break down second time caused her to come this far. She was afraid something like this would end up happening if she went by her own choice.
Now I know Waseem keeps repeating this is her second time, or this is her second mistake but I don't think the first time was a mistake in the first place. First time when she chose Yash, it wasn't a mistake on her part. She fell in love with a man who she thought would walk with her till the end. So how is it her mistake or fault if that the man chose to leave her half way. Why should zoya punish herself with a loveless marriage to justify that her choices were wrong in the past.
Roshnaq, she had some sane lines today. What she said was right. Zoya has no right to compromise just because she got betrayal from her last love. Her blessings foreshadow the furture tracks. In every hurdle she will be their moral compass. Aditya last time started his journey with a mother-daughter duo who runied his life and painted him to be selfish. This time he is staring his journey again with another mother-daughter duo who had slapped him and had called him selfish like sakshi that night but have now given him a second chance to show to the word that he would go to any extent to keep his relationship intact.
While Waseem was throwing Zoya out, I loved how aditya did not let go of her even once. There was a tiny scene in the beginning also when Zoya tries to hold Waseem's hand but he flings his hand away, right then Aditya raises his arms in protection for a second because he thought waseem was going to slap her.
Anyway after being thrown out, at the door I noticed the nameplate says ARORA'S. I had seen that in bts videos too. I remeber thinking it must a blooper. But after seeing it again today I realized how ironic? Last time Zoya had fled her siddhiqui house to go under Arora's roof. Even after yash died and that roof got snatched away from her, she faught and went to live under arora's roof in another city. But all this while she only got betrayal under that roof. In today's episode Aditya is going to hold her hand and walk out of that Arora's house. Zoya is finally leaving the arora's behind. She has let go of her past in real sense today by daring to love again without the fear of being betrayed again. As Zoya walks away from Arora's to Hooda's her new journey begins.
But waseem is still left behind in Arora's. Waseem is still stuck in the past with Yash's betrayal. He is confident Aditya too is like Yash and his daughter chose her love over him. Now it will be Aditya's job to free him out of the arora house like he got Zoya out of that toxic cage.
