yay! some great writing from the CVs and showing different, contrasting points of view. if we take a step back, all of the dialogues were spot on from that character's point of view.

arshad -- loved how he remained the voice of calm and asked zoya not to worry. the storm will pass once everyone's anger subsides and people are able to see this marriage would have caused more heartbreak.

arshad's parents -- well, it may seem mean but I liked that they remained true to character. he is their only son and they would have had their own dreams for their child. would any parent's first reaction be "yea, zoya, wish you the best?" ... no, instead, they are angry and frustrated that a happy day has turned to be disappointment. so true to character

waseem -- folks may not like but he really revealed the heart of a father. how frustrated he was when he asked -- how many times did I ask you zoya if you are sure about this decision? how frustrated he was when he reveals that he feels like his daughter uses him when she hits rock bottom and then disappears out of his life whenever she finds love. think his biggest anger and hurt is that she does not seem to respect him or ask for his opinion or share how she feels. she is forever taking decisions and expects him to follow where she leads. there were so much hurt and disappointment wonderfully expressed.

roshana -- she finally tells waseem what she thinks and stands her ground. we see a heart of a mother who is willing to give a hug even in a situation where they have faced so much humiliation as a family and to look towards the future and what it all means.

aditya -- he finally seems to understand how his actions have hurt zoya and her family. in a way, his psycho behaviour made things really worse and created a situation that has proved very painfully humiliating. so much so that zoya is in pain and crying that she will marry no one if that is what waseem wants.

zoya -- loved that she finally took responsibility for her actions and apologized for this mess. she apologized to arshad and his family and the burden of what she has done is finally weighing on her. unwillingness and fear to look at her heart has led to this pain and humiliation for everyone. she tries to talk to waseem but it almost seems too late. found it very significant that she is still not quite ready to marry aditya and would give him up if waseem told her to. but at this time, waseem is so bitter that he doesn't care what she does and feels like his own daughter is so flaky...

all in all, some great dialgoues where each character stayed true to their personality and their view of the situation.

Hiii! Very well said! πŸ‘ I agree with all your points except Aditya's. He was guilty because he was a part of the equation with Zoya. However, I dont hold him responsible for all this mess...nor do i think that he did wrong by coercing Zoya or bordering to being obsessive for her...because honestly, there was a deadline and one cant just keep sitting haath per haath dharay that everything will settle by itself! Of course he had to DO something! And he did what he could. Wrong or right...but he put a good fight for his love. His actions were probably psychotic to some extent, but they were the need of the hour because Zoya was not bucking up! 😊😊 So I dont blame Aditya at all...
Zoya was at fault... but then if we look at her perspective, even she was right to some extent.
I find Wasim and Arshad more at fault. Wasim knew in his heart since a long time that Zoya loved Aditya. He had seen Love in Adi's eyes even when Adi himself had not known...and yet he chose to impose Arshad on Zoya like that. He knew that his daughter was breaking apart... how could he not see into Zoya's eyes when she had been so sad all along? πŸ˜• He was ignoring Zoya's wishes for his own ego.
And Arshad! Man! That guy was blind! Zoya had clearly told him that she did not love him...couldnt he see what he saw on the day of Nikah? He deliberately let Zoya get engaged to him when he could clearly see that she was crazy for Aditya. He always saw what he wanted to see...that Zoya loved him instead of Adi...even his mom asked him not to marry Zoya...but he still decided to ignore what he knew was the truth...and thats why I find him equally at fault too!

Hey dear Dee...I'm agree with you regarding adi POV...For me it was zoyas rash decision of marriage which made the situations worse...I wanted that she simply say no to both adi nd arshad...

Nd just noticed that u joined the forum on my birth date...18mayπŸ˜›

Ohh yes! Zoya's rash decision was faulty too... but Waseem was pestering her and then Aditya was confusing her too with his junoon... πŸ˜›πŸ˜›
Zoya was wrong but she was not completely wrong. Anyway, i find Waseem and Arshad more at fault and more wrong.. πŸ˜›πŸ˜›

Ohhh 18th may! Wow! Happy belated birthday! πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

Good post. But I kind of have a different opinion about waseem. Zoya clearly stated that she has no interest in marriage quite a few times. In fact, after the drunk zoya scene he never told her that he had called Arshad n his family home. Before the anniversary party also she clearly tells waseem that she is not interested but still he is adamant. During the Biryani competition day also she voices her opinion but it falls to deaf ears. So it's not like she never was vocal about her displeasure ,it's just that waseem would never take no as an answer. The biggest mistake zoya made is when she walked upto Arshad n asked him to marry her! And that I feel is just so that she doesn't end up hurting Waseem again. Waseem has time n again taunted her for Her mistakes and that amounts to mental torture which cannot be explicitly held accountable. But when a parent is constantly badgering you with his "told you so" tirades then it's hard to maintain your sanity.
Frankly speaking waseem would have disowned her even if she had chosen adi over Arshad before the wedding tamasha .ofcourse it would have been a lil less dramatic but would have happened any which ways ..zoya knows her father too well n I guess she was actually scared of his reaction hence she was in denial. ..

Nice post dear... As doc said... Except for adi's pov i agree with all the other ... Aditya just did what he could to make Zoya realise and help her from making yet another mistake... Zoya's anger and hasty decision was the main culprit...

Lovely analysis Mango, Doc and Hippy...loved reading it😊
True that hearts broke in all directions today... but good that it is only temporary... vs the wedding with Arshad would've caused a lifetime of sadness for every single one there...and they will realize this sooner or later...

And i think the only white person in the total wedding fiasco is Roshnaq... She is the only one who cannot be blamed at all...She was the mom who saw through her daughter's fake smiles, she was the mom who asked Zoya to close her eyes and search for answers hidden in her heart, she was the one who multiple times asked her daughter if she was happy with the impending wedding, and though she had a preference in Aditya over Arshad for her daughter, she did not try to rub her opinion of either groom on her daughter...She was also the ideal wife who went ahead with her husband's happiness but at the same time also kept suggesting her daughter to not jump into things in hurry...

and today when Zoya had finally made up her mind, she stood up for her daughter against her husband and made her stance and support pretty clear to her daughter and would-be damaad...she is all what Adi had said about her... Khoobsoorat, shant, samjhdaar and today she was strong too...

Except her, i think everyone there had something or other to feel guilty about how the day had turned out for everyone...I cannot decide who is more at fault than another...

Good post. I guess it shud hv been clear to all dt Zoya loves Adi when she ran away on her engagement. I blame all of dm equally, but all r right if v look from their perspective.
I know some felt d epi was a drag, but i felt dis epi was much needed. Finally, i loved dt Zoya got things to say she had on her mind. How Zoya says dm with little hesitance, a little fear n a little guilt was portrayed perfectly by Jen. I also loved how Adi was always by Zoya. Normaly men think dy shudn't bend down in front of a gal's family, but even after Zoya accepted dt she loved Adi, dt was not enuf for him. He cud see how broken Zoya was as she again disappointed Waseem n for her happiness he was also willing to bend down. Overall i really loved dis epi more than d previous epi.

i somewhere agree to that about roshnaq she is the really sane one.
but somewhere i feel she should not have allowed waseem to force zoya into meeting Arshad when zoya was repeatedly telling she is not ready for marriage. As a mother and a woman she had a right over her daughters life too. she just let waseem take the decicions wrt zoya
everyone has played their part in this mess
