Is consummation scene necessary ?

I know I am going to be under attack by some but to my thinking such explicit scenes are really not required. I have watched many Pakistani and even Turkish serials where intense love is depicted without physicality. Both Jennifer & Harshad are such powerful actors that they can set the screen ablaze with mere looks and dialogues without the hot scenes.

I personally would like romance implied and moving on to the suspense and mystery..AdiYa moments can provide some spark but an outright suhag raat type of scenario is really not my type of show.

Sorry to disappoint many.

Consummation is given unnecessary importance in India. It's supposed to be one of the most natural moments for a couple yet it's a very long drawn out process. I think it's important for the central storyline in a sense it proves that the marriage is true in all forms. (Just my thoughts, but in reality most couples do in fact get physical before marriage).
I think JenShad's chemistry would serve as a huge TRP booster hence the idea is circulating so much. I agree love is not purely physical, but physical attraction is a part of love that one cannot deny. I have watched a few Pakistani dramas & one Turkish drama that I did really like but besides Mahira & Fawad, I found myself unable to relate to a lot of the couples given the lack of physical proximity (please don't bash me lol, I'm just stating my thoughts).

So I agree they could totally show BP progressing without a consummation scene, but it would mean hell for TRPs. And I think CVs would want to explode AdiYa as parents given the whole drama with Aditya and Pooja's abortion, hence consummation would be necessary for that too

Well it's there in literally every Indian show 😆 so eventually a consummation scene will be there. Right now I don't expect or want consummation because AdiYa especially Zoya are not in the right state of mind for it. Both need each other for emotional support and comfort. Also have noticed that once the leads consummate, sometimes the sexual chemistry fades away.

I will literally kill the CVs if they stop giving romance scenes after consummation 😆
We suffered through so much AdiJa/ZoSh/PooSh scenes they need to make it back up to us in the form of AdiYa scenes

I watch Indian shows totally for the chemistry and romance between leads. And by romance I mean right from the subtle eyelocks to the consummation! I think HC and Jen look super hot together and seeing them in bed together would really be exciting! I also love every other romantic gesture...
Quite frankly, im not big about the story..I don't connect with saas bahu politics .nor am I big fan of mysteries in Indian shows.. For those needs I look elsewhere :)

So for me no consummation..or just one consummation will be a huge turn off..tho like ishana says I don't see why they make it a big deal.. They could just get on top of each other and do it and be done like in most American shows :)

I've watched like 20 turkish drama's and all of them had liplocks and consummation... In pak shows everything is implied..i would love to see some good romantic scenes..
