I don't think it's necessary but if the story requires it to move forward, I dont mind it...ie. story taking a generation leap requiring female lead to be pregnant

I have a feeling consummation will happen and Zoya will get pregnant since it was mentioned Zoya wanting children with Yash and Adi losing his child via. Pooja's abortion...evil Anjana may harm Zoya (and Zoya's child's life) the same way she harmed Pooja and this may be one of those awakening moments for Adi to realize how crazy his mother really is

Love is a huge ocean where Zoya has just stepped in due to how her mind and heart felt for Adotya, her thought of how angry her Abbu is and she needs space and time and knowing zoya she will not want anything shaking her up in as she has to clear her thoughts and make way for pure happiness. Conmummation is quite cliche in indian televwion Bepanaaah is different the jojeny pf Love so the last shud be consommayion or even if its on till end a journey of understanding pain and feeling that one needs each other companionship and Zoya needs Aditya as her life partner is more important. If this show is more a marure two beoken people searching for new love the love should be more companionship and romance of hearts bleed ratger than consumation for the audience and trp

You know I've always imagined this. Anjana is almost insane, she wouldn't give a damn if the child is Adi's but she will harm Zoya and the baby as well. I think Zoya may find out her secret before anyone else and this will lead Anjana to hurting Zoya and the baby. Maybe causing Zoya to lose the child and eventually everyone realizing that Anjana is a psychopath

Consummation is given unnecessary importance in India. It's supposed to be one of the most natural moments for a couple yet it's a very long drawn out process. I think it's important for the central storyline in a sense it proves that the marriage is true in all forms. (Just my thoughts, but in reality most couples do in fact get physical before marriage).
I think JenShad's chemistry would serve as a huge TRP booster hence the idea is circulating so much. I agree love is not purely physical, but physical attraction is a part of love that one cannot deny. I have watched a few Pakistani dramas & one Turkish drama that I did really like but besides Mahira & Fawad, I found myself unable to relate to a lot of the couples given the lack of physical proximity (please don't bash me lol, I'm just stating my thoughts).

So I agree they could totally show BP progressing without a consummation scene, but it would mean hell for TRPs. And I think CVs would want to explode AdiYa as parents given the whole drama with Aditya and Pooja's abortion, hence consummation would be necessary for that too

That is just my point ...that Jennifer & Harshad are such powerful actors at par with Mahira & Fawad ...even better. The chemistry between them is so magical that those explicit scenes are not required to express love. They can cast a spell with a mere look itself.Of all the actors on television today Harshad is the only one who emotes so powerfully with his eyes.He has the most expressive eyes.Jennifer of course is the perfect foil to Harshad's romantic stance.Believe me that explicit scenes depicting physicality are for lesser actors.I honestly look forward to the talented CVs of this interesting show to come forward with some unusual scenes to show the bond instead of the cliched amorous clinches. In fact that is exactly what I am expecting and would hate to be proved wrong.
Recently watched Humsafars which had one such scene ...though rudely interrupted.A section of the viewers went gaga over that sequence but I do not think that it contributed much to the powerful story line.

As for parenthood it is not required to show conceptualization is it ? Maybe we are rushing forward too fast ?

My apologies to those who have been looking forward to hot scenes. I reiterate that for me subtlety works far more powerfully. In JW & HC we have two perfect actors to give us sublime romance...a rarity on Indian television. The Creative team too is hugely talented with an apparent desire to show something different.

Honestly India TV serials hype up consummation scenes. For one, most people who are in love would have consummated their relationship before marriage. If not full blown sex they would have at least made out with each other. While we like to believe sex isn't important, it is. A marriage is nothing without the sexual intimacy and not just for children. Healthy adults should have a positive and healthy attitude towards sex.
Unfortunately, Indian tv serials continue to perpetrate the orthodox view of virginity or a naive approach to sex as honourable. I have yet to come across an India tv show that has approached this topic with maturity. So, in that sense I agree with you - the consummation scene is not necessary.

That said, if written well these type of scenes can highlight chemistry. Calikusu, a Turkish show, comes to mind.

My apologies for the blanket reference to Turkish shows . Just seen very few and those did not show physicality.

its like zoyas realization..we all knew zoya loved aditya..it was very visible in her actions...but still we couldnt sink it in unless she voiced it out...how we all wanted her to speak up...and yest when she finally accepted in front of the whole world..it was bliss..it sank in our heart..now we know that they both are a couple..and very much in love with each other..
same with the consummation..we know if there is love between couples and they are married too..its obvious they would consummate one day...but to really sink it in our heart we need to see at least a bit of it...so that when the picture of adiyas love story plays in our mind ..they uniting by emotionally and physically is a picture in it too..though i am not a fan of too much awkward scene..a bit of this and that just to portray the special union would be nice..and we can know not just by assumption..but by seeing something about it...

Very well said. India's younger generation is definitely moving towards a more positive attitude on this subject but ITV is dominated by the older generation (meaning it's majority of TRP contributors are older to whom these subjects such as "sex" "pleasure" and what not is absurd and odd). In reality, even in most arranged marriages nowadays, people to get physically intimate with each other way before marriage.

In a real world, I'm sure AdiYa would've consummated before marriage but given the circumstances under which their marriage happened they were left with no choice but to jump straight to a marriage.
I hope they don't depict AdiYa as shy, virginal, sexually-awkward people that ITV is infamous for

For me, AdiYa consummation is very important. They have come a long way from almost enemies to lovers. I want this journey to end in passionate love-making which helps them in healing all the scars left by their previous partners, giving them a sense of fulfilment and satisfaction.

How the makers will show the above emotions / scenes, is totally upto them. But an assurance that they are truly happy with each other is a must. And not just once, but recurring.

AdiYa should have a happy marriage despite all hurdles, because they were failed in their previous marriages. This time their love should be above all.
