Let me start off by saying that season 1 on Sony was the most real/genuine season of BB with regard to contestants and production team. They were all clueless on how this game is played and showed their real self.
last 5 seasons, its clear and at least I could decode on how everything is rigged.
The channel and the team picks the top 2 first then make it happen by editing and manipulatng the footage. Theres one protagonist and one antagonist. The selection of top 2 is based on the rivalry that happens in the initial weeks.
for eg Gautam and Karishma : after the first week, it was evident, it was a battle between the two
Prince and Rishabh ( This season Prince was def finalist, they could not find his rival , it was only after Rishabh they went ahead
Season 10. This was interesting coz full season they were going with Bani-lopa rivalry until the physical fight happened between them and the channel switched to Manveer whom they kept as backup.
last season was very evident , I do not have to elaborate shilpa-Hina one was made to look like an angel and the other a witch
the channel picks the finalists based on who gets the most talking point whether negative or positive. who gets the Buzz
This is an excellent reality show if they stay true and do not manipulate instead they present it to us like a narration of a story.
for example, last season, they show one episode where shilpa cried and all her gang join her under the table and then the voice over says , lets see how long this is going to last and then bang , next episode theres a rift
in fact even the family members are not spared, they are coached on what they should say like last years winners mom ( who herself admitted)
or the Armaan Kohli season, Sofia complained abt Arman's physical abuse, she was eliminated immediately.
I mean Rahul Dev getting eliminated before Nitibha Kaul, no one can believe that ofcourse.
I have stopped rooting for anyone, yes on impulse and bcoz I end up watching all the episode, we do end up with a favorite but I never allow myself to believe that what you see is what you get
This season, I could decode who is being favored, who is not easily. its a no brainer.
its a shame that the channel has ruined such an interesting reality show . You could start with at least interesting tasks, give them tasks that can test their mental/physical strength and bring out their personality instead of resorting to manipulating the footage available.
