To those saying aditya is acting like a spoilt child and his character has been butchered: are you guys even watching this show? No really, are you? From the very start? Aditya IS childish. That's the reason why pooja and he never had the perfect marriage. Should he change himself just because his spouse cheated on him? Of course not. He must now be accepted for all his traits and only then will his love be different from that with pooja. Otherwise it'll be the same thing all over again

To those saying zoya is being too stubborn, she should know what adi is feeling, she should be more considerate, she should choose her best friend over Arshad: now why should she do all of that? She has been married once before. She thought it was perfect and then it wasn't. Her husband cheated on her, planned to divorce her, and then died. Her father rubs her mistakes in her face all the time. Them to top it all, aditya confessed at the worst possible timing when she was desperately waiting for him to reaffirm their friends only status in front of her father. Then the prank call thing comes to light. Zoya's trust has been crushed. Not because of the prank call our because of aditya's confession but because of what these things represent. That she (zoya) is simply incapable of seeing the truth. For such a woman, its not that hard to believe that they'll retreat into a shell. Why should she be considerate of aditya when she too is broken inside? Aditya has always been stronger when it comes to accepting things. That has been his trait from the start. Zoya has always been weaker in this sense. Zoya's strength lies in her ability to make the best of her situation which could be seen from how she took over a company after yash died while aditya used drink to drown his sorrows. They both have these traits that make them real, flawed characters. The Indian audience wants to see a self sacrificing lamb and simply cannot wrap their minds around a girl who wants to protect herself from further harm. Which is natural.

Then come those who say that characters have been butchered: how exactly? In the beginning aditya was bent upon convincing zoya that her husband had indeed cheated with his wife. He did childish things to get her to react post suicide. He is the same now. It's just the stakes that are different.
Zoya would not accept yash's infidelity until proof came into her hands. Then post suicide she retreated into a shell and did not react except when mahi was being given attention by aditya or when her company was in danger.
No fellow viewers and readers, the characters are very much the same. These are just excuses. The truth is most of you wanted a typical, cliche love story that does not require much analysis or thinking. Most of you wanted masala but not a character driven story.
The director himself stated at the start, this is not a love story. This is a story of love

To those who think arshad track is dragging: please have you seen kundali or kumkum bhagya?
The difference between other dramas and bepannaah is that the third angle is not here as a evil guy. Nor is he someone who will bring the two leads closer. No, Arshad is not any of that. He is someone who is apparently perfect. Has no apparent flaws. A oerson zoya would not have any reason to reject. But she WILL reject him despite all that. And that is where the beauty of the story lies. Zoya will truly, completely, wholly choose aditya despite the easier, safer, flawless option. Because Arshad would be perfect. Just not for zoya. And that is the true conflict isn't it? That, dear.readers, is true love. And that is what the makers want show us. And that is what we are criticizing.
Criticize, but watch. Because if you leave the show, you end all chances of there ever being any unique show such as this. This show is a true masterpiece and it should be commended where it is being bashed.

Shows where the ML insults the FL to no end are a hit (ishqbaaz, Iss pyaar ko kya naam doon, qubool hai) (nothing against these shows, they are good entertainment but nothing more. They are not a story that links everything together)
Shows with no plot are a hit (bhagyas)
Shows that drag on forever (yrkkh)
Why must this show be bashed for remaining true to its characters and its story simply because the viewers don't take the time to truly watch it. All they want is a wedding and a love story. They don't want a plot. Nor do they want excellent acting. And that is a sad thing indeed.

In addition: we can have male leads forcing female leads into marrying them, we can have male leads making life hell for the female leads but all hell breaks loose if someone chooses to go after the love of their life, to try and get them to confess when they can see that their love is not one sided
The prank call was not a big thing. Like aditya said, zoya did not have to come. He didn't drag her out of there. Nor did arjun tell her to come. She came anyway. Thats on her. This was not the same as what he did with Arshad.
And we can have female leads being self sacrificing idiots, absolute door mats. But we hate it when a female lead has a sense of self preservation, wants to protect herself from heart break. We take issue with what she considers to be dhoka because we simply lack the depth to see why she used the word dhoka in the first place.

You write very well.
Unfortunately what sells is shown. Our viewers are used to K series . I too was hooked to MLs show which made him a household name 10 years ago.

Apart from it was Colors that took up social issues , Bal vivaah, like tale of two cities ,tales of two sisters, childhood friends and off late fl antagonist are current flavours. This channel is also doing trials on EMA.

Reality shows , comedy circus. Last but not the least , religion, historical, mythologies and our love for fantasy and Disney characters will always sell.

Bepannaah is like a needle in the haystack.

The average indian viewer will not have the time and energy to break down charachters.

Betrayal is common it's just not between husband and wife. Many do no want to see mirror images of rheir own selves on TV. The mistakes which a Aditya hooda can commit or the subborness which exhibited by Zoya is found is many of us.

When trps started falling in the first place , I was asked by fellow viewer why and how does a man of 32 and a woman of almost 30 commit such mistakes , why are they shown to have so much flaws. Almost every track was questioned, it was difficult to analyse such complex personalities

Rajveer track, why was he brought in the first place. Missing pages of the dairy is still mssing.

murder and the thriller aspect isnt coordinated properly, unfinished tracks, loose ends for example Sakshis phone and the letter from Adi , what about it .. . The love letter was mocked on SM. All these have gone against the concept. Editing isn't impressive.

Jennifer and Harshad have put in a lot of efforts to portray these different and difficult charachters. Even when nothing is connected ,their performances bridge the gaps and overall episodes are appreciated but some are real bouncers at times.

If tracks are left incomplete, its mainly because of us, the audience. When yash and pooja were very much a part of the show, everyone was irritated. Everyone wanted yash flashbacks to stop. To have end to the cheating partners and the crying zoya and so they removed yash. Then came rajveer. I must admit that they track was a little illogical but it had potential to dwelve into the mystery. But silsila was about to start. Back to back shows can't have completely opposite messages to the audience so they did the whole paak rishta fiasco. This particular part I have always said was poorly handled probably due to interference from the channel.
But then we came to post leap parts. That's when the trp jumped from 1.4 to 1.9. Why? Because we had adiya scenes but it dropped again because zoya friendzoned aditya. And aditya trying to win her brought back some trp again. Then came Arshad. So you see, its just that the audience wants to see a love story. So they don't give makers time to fully wrap up their stories. Or the channel interferes. I am sure the murder mystery will soon come back into the show because the makers have experience with thrillers. They know when to bring the mystery elements back. And they will. But we need to be patient, and above all trust the makers. Because if we don't do that, we lose a potentially unique show. bepannaah is unique in its own way. And such shows rarely get trp which needs to change.
And Thankyou for the compliment:)

As for sakshi, I feel that it will be brought up soon. Somehow, things seem to be leading towards a big revelation regarding sakshi. Just a gut feeling

Truly well said.

What i'd like to add though is, in our society we believe in fiction, its what make us happy.

If by seeing a love story makes the viewer happy then thats what a lot will argue.

I for one have always said how unique BP was, EMA storylines work well with times now. However, it hits home too much agony, people relate.

So we move on and we want to see happy stories, love stories which we want in our lives.

So yes patience is key but makers need to stick with storylines and not abruptly end or change them!

Much needed post ⭐️ 👏 people need to accept AdiYa's journey is not going to be a bed of roses. From time to time, they will argue and face hurdles but all of these are only going to bring them closer nothing can break them apart. Yeah sometimes we may not like certain things which they do but it doesn't mean they are butchered. A lot of people have failed to understand their basic character traits.

My only request to the creatives is to not introduce tracks with new characters into the show anymore. They can't handle it and I don't see the need for half baked characters causing problems in Adiya's relationship when their past and Anjana are more than enough to create tension and drama.

I very much agree on adityas part
He was always the same .. He did anything and everything to make things happen his way always.. He is a human with flaws from the beginning of the show.. that's what made him unique. He is not a God 😃

This show is def better than most.but as most Indian shows logic crashes..
Arshads puppy eyes.
After zoya ran away from the engagement
Aditya forcing his ideas on zoya.
Persuasion one time is fine more than that it becomes annoying
Shes said no
No means no
That's it
It shouldn't get over romanticized
Zoyaa illogical stubbornness
She said yes because he made a prank call.while she made hoax call on his whole family being dead

But this is soap one should expect no logic
