Pls can someone elaborate a Muslim wedding - rituals etc?

Even yesterday i didn't understand what was happening.

So u need a priest at engagement ceremony pray and just exchange rings???

I have no idea.never been to a full ceremony so pardon my ignorance.

But I am curious to learn.

Me ek baat bolun Jo engagement Wala dikhaya na aise kuch nhi hota engagement me mtlb ladka k Ghar se aate h ladki me Ghar lekin ladka wahan nhi hota h bas unke Ghar wale aate hn ladki ko ring pehnane phir kisi case me haldi pehle mehendi baad me ya phir pehle mehendi phir haldi lekin wo ek hi din hota h no sangeet as hamare isme allow nahi h phir haldi mehndi k baad nikah mtlb qubool h Wala part lekin TV me jese dikhata waise nhi hota doosra din walima/reception hota h.This is how we celebrated wedding.

P.S jyada der barely Muslim me aise hota hoga I do not have idea about them and they are Siddiqui clan to unlog ka Jo believe h waise hoga but trust me not single Muslim wedding is true that show in tv😆

So Engagement is basically ring exchange. Elders decide if they want to do it grand or on a small scale. The small scale ring exchange are usually called Baat pakki. There is no Imam or anything of that sort. But in some muslim cultures, after Baat pakki/engagement they do 'Dua-e-Kher' for the couple which is basically everyone making a small dua together that the couple lives happily ever after. Even then, there is no Imam. LOOL. Idk for what reason he came.

Imam is only present for Nikkah and signing of papers along with witnesses . All of them sign papers.

We have direct nikah...no engagement as per Islamic law ..but it's now its Muslim culture to do engagement😡

We don't need khaazi for engagement as such...!

The kazi is not require for engagement and groom n bride do not exchange rings instead groom family give the ring to bride n brides family to groom

5 day or 7 days before the haldi ceremony take place.n one day before mahendi n sanchak ceremony (like shagun) takes place

Then nikah n the next day walima

Bride and groom do not sit beside each other until after the nikah ceremony.they only sit together after nikah is done and at the end of walima where people give their gifts and garlands.

I m telling what happens in my family or relative

I think Walima is something like a reception.. they call it Dawat Waalima. It is on the next day of the wedding and I think that's the day where everyone meet and greet over food. I may be entirely wrong, but that's what I've heard and seen in the muslim weddings I've been to 😳

Engagement ceremony is not compulsory it's quite informal nowadays many people choose to not have one due to the costs. Trust me the one they showed in the episode doesn't happen like that in real life there is no kaazi at a saagai 😆 so extra the cvs can be at times. 😆 we have mehndi but that's more of a culture thing than a religious one. Haldi again is not in Islamic rituals again it's more of a culture ceremony. Idk if Zoya will have a haldi. Wedding day nikkah is done, imam is present
