Saif Ali Khan to join cast of Ajay Devgn's 'Taanaji: The Unsung Hero'?

In what would definitely be an
interesting casting, it appears that Saif
Ali Khan could have signed his first
period film in the form of Ajay Devgn's
Taanaji: The Unsung Hero'.
Deccan Chronicle reports that Devgn
himself asked Ali Khan to join the film. A
source stated, "It took Saif a long time to
agree to be a supporting actor. After Kal
Ho Naa Ho, he had vowed to never do a
two-hero film in which he would have a
weaker role. But Ajay has personally
assured him that he will have a strong
author-backed role.
The film is based on Maratha warrior
Taanaji Malusare and would see Devgn
and Ali Khan reunite after 1999's
Kachche Dhaage' and 2006's Omkara'.
