In my opinion, it was honest and intense. It just wasn't dramatic. Maybe that's why it felt lacking to you. But personally, for me, I felt it was just as it should be.
He said how he felt, no frills and it was all the more hot for it! Of course when Harshad is standing there looking at you "Intensity bari nigaho se" like Zoya once told Adi, then one sort of get the feel of it naturally. Harshad is so handsome, but more than that, he has this natural charm that makes his character so endearing.
Adi is artless. He never "Acts" at all. This is why the confession felt so him. For a second Zoya was SO thrown. After the confession what followed was really intense and impactful. Like the "On one will love you like me" line. I was thinking "Girl how can you not say yes to him, he's so hot!" LOL.
But jokes aside Harshad nailed the whole thing. His minute changes in expressions always make every scene look authentic. Like the way he winced when she said that thanks to him she lost her only friend. These two surely deserve accolades and Harshad most certainly does for the way he plays Adi! He literally lives him. So Yes I Loved the confession. Watched it at least 5 times. I fell in even more in Bepannah pyar with this love story!
