Sad entertainment standards have fallen so low

It makes me very sad to see television shows specially those which young kids watch as in a romance like BP resort to showing parents in such poor light. Waseem the over protective father would go to any length ...even allow his daughter to spend an entire night out with a guy he barely knows. There is a limit here that CVs should not cross.

If Waseem is shown so poorly then Anjana is the worst a mother can be. It worries me that writing capability has fallen so bleak that CVs have to script such gruesome acts of a mother.

Could the same result not have been written in a more refined manner so young minds do not start doubting their parents after watching such crap on a very popular show?

Is this the first Indian show that u r watching? Terrible and worst parents trend was started by our very own Kekta Maiya way back in 2000s. Most of the vamps of her daily soaps were worst mothers. Waseem and Anjana look like angels in front of Kekta shows villains.
Anyways, this is just daily soap. Why take it so seriously? This show has glorified EMA. Isse worse kuch ho sakta hai. Every daily soap shows things like this. We shouldn't take them so seriously and watch them only for time pass.

I agree with you.
However, I don't think the show has glorified EMA's. The show has clearly shown that EMA's are negative and the impact it has on people can be life changing. If anything it shows people they are wrong for doing such things.
Also, I don't think that there is really an issue with the way the parents are shown. Most people are aware that the characters are fictional and things like this don't really happen. I think with Anjana and Waseem they feel like they are doing the right thing in their own view, it may be extreme but shows that parents will go to extreme lengths to protect their children.

Well, their intention was not to glorify EMA but unfortunately due to bad writing and bad direction, it did seem like they glorified it. They wanted to show that Adi and Zoya were not perfect spouses but the way they showed it, it seemed like the whole blame fell on them and PooSh were shown as 2 innocent people stuck in bad and unhappy marriages. Sakshi indirectly proved that Pooja cheated Adi because he couldn't understand her and Roshna too tried to do the same with Zoya. Again I am saying, their intention was not to glorify but somewhere they did glorify EMA. Anyways, it's my opinion.

Rest of ur points I agree. People know these are fictional characters so they don't take everything seriously unless it's some really grave or cringeworthy matter that's shown on tv.

Well said!!! After all these are all hindi serial. All serials have these kind of negative characters. Its just for entertainment. Dont take it so seriously. BP is way better than other serials where they have so many vamps. I find BP much more realistic. waseem and Anjana are saints here compared to other serials. As far as EMA goes... atleast here they showed uts wrong and what it can do to the other person. It showed the aftermath of EMA. What about Silsila? That show is showing as if EMA is valid. Thats just disgusting.

Definitely, everyone's entitled to an opinion. 😊I felt like the idea of showing what Adiya had done made people aware that the breakdown of marriages can be down to both of the people, but I agree that they kind of took the blame.
I still feel like there are some parts of Poosh's relationship details that need to come out and also the missing pages of the diary.

It may not be the first but one of the very few. I came on board because of Jennifer and the fact that it was a Cinevista production.
Definitely do not watch EK shows after a bit of KGGK & was it MTTAK ? The standards have plunged after her advent and control over ITV so look elsewhere for relaxing. Watched the first 100 0dd episodes of KTLK of which the first 48 were excellent..later it went in to such a spin not worth wasting time on. Earlier we had brilliant productions like Humlog, Nukkad, Garam Hawa, Buniyaad and a few more.
It is not so much the content as in EMA, Parental pressures etc that are the problem It is the way they are shown.

As long as youngsters know that these are fictional and highlighted it may be fine but I am not convinced that we can't show such issues in a maturer way.

In Bepanah I expected that.

This is not the first show where parents/relatives of the leads are being shown in bad light. In Naamkarann, the female lead's own grandma shot her when she was shown as a 10 year old kid just because she was illegitimate 🤢

Entertainment standard's have gone down the drain way back
Pinky :- called her own son illegitimate to break his relationship with anika in IB
Dayawanti:- Murdered her own son and tried killing 10 year old coz she is illegitimate and his son married a muslim gal.
Razia :- Drugged her own daughter and made it appear that as if she slept with a guy to marry her off
The examples are countless we can nitpick every thing rant online...vent our frustation its not gonna change anything..
We should just treat it as a random show and move on
And i dont know about you but kids around me are way too burdened by their studies to even bother about these things..
Those who are not are obsessed with tablets and smartphones.
But things mi8 be different on ur end i completey respect ur opinion and indeed parents are shown in bad light in daily soaps
