It can't but it will definitely affect SidT's legacy!

I don't think I'll want to watch any more historical shows from Swastik. 😡

This lousy show won't have an iota of effect or influence on the real Alexander the Great's legacy and we all know it no matter how much credibility SidT will try to earn by making the show go international, and get telecasted in some here and there neighbour countries (ex : Indonesia) But what's bothering us is that Alexander's character is portrayed by one such brilliant performer and actor as Rohit Purohit, who qualifies this role as his dream project, accepted to play the role after much reluctance because he puts the character on a pedestal, holds great consideration toward the real figure and his legacy that's still very much alive and for which, he really put in lot of hardworks, blood, sweat and tears in order to match the grandeur of the character he is playing, and that's where, we are not fine at all if Sidt disrespects his harworks, his expectations. Let's not even talk about the real Alexander the Great, because he had started his misdeeds and made the real one non existential since the promos m, to begin with 😆

@bold very well said!
This is what I feel worst about. Rohit was right to be concerned about the maker's ability to justify the character. I think in the interviews during the launch he kept saying he wasn't sure he'd be able to justify it, but deep down I think he was more worried about the portrayal of Macedonians. I feel as if in his own way, through his performances and the way he plays Alexander, he's rebelling against the blackwashing of this character.

The thing with nuanced acting is that those who recognize it will appreciate, but those who don't would still feel the effects of it, without necessarily reading the micro-expressions that we search for.

The little amount of fan club pages dedicated to him are all outdated, from the Razia Sultan time. I am still so thankful that you wrote a long letter to him pointing out how much we notice and appreciate the efforts he put in and we love his character, with all the flaws, nuances and layers it contains. No offense but majority of the fans of the show on twitter through the #Porus are mainly plain, basic and boring. I am so frustrated to constate that whenever I check it out time to time to see if I will come across any new fans of Alexander or appreciation threads dedicated to Rohit's Alexander, they are nearly to none. We really need to create a space to pour in our appreciations for Alexander's portrayal done by him, and the glorious performance he delivers us on daily basis.

Great idea!

Do you want to do it here?

I have now been tweeting him more frequently just to show my appreciation. I don't know if he reads them, though. He's quite busy these days but maybe once he has some free time he can smile reading our messages. I second what you said to Vaishnavi, thanks for sending him that note. I don't think he realized the extent to which we appreciate him until he read that. 😃

I think it will be as hard for him to let go of this character as it will be for us. 😭
