The moment chachaji said yes to Samiana relationship Sameer was confident, happy, agreed to Chachaji's advice and took his blessings, as if he got his life back. It is what his heart wants, it was what he knows is the best thing can happen in his life. So, it was his first reaction. He only knows what Naina meant to him.
But, then what happened, he remembered Munna's promise but more his words and a fear attacked him, he was uncomfortable and unsure of his own decision of moving ahead with Naina.
If we look back at the 18th birthday night, Naina was all broken, at night she saw a dream that Sam is saying that we love each other and she is saying that yes, Sam is right. She supported what Sam said. Then she saw Chachaji was upset and went ahead to commit suicide like Rakesh. So, dream is our subconscious. She was sure that time about she will positively stand by Sam when the time come but the trauma of suicide was there and she didn't know what to do now. How could they go ahead with with their relationship. But, never thought of giving up.
In a huge emotional tarmoil, Shefali told her that like Arjun she will betray Sam infront of her family leaving him all broken so this is the high time to break her relationship with Sam and save him from more bigger heart break in future. It is the moment she loose her self confidence and started doubting herself and reason is drastic break-up with Sameer. The reason of break-up had came from self doubt and the virus implanted in her brain by Shefali. She was always a fighter, a girl who never acted as escapist.
Now, the act of Sam in temple after Chachaji's acceptance was the truth and his believe in his love and relationship. When he was unsure about Naina and the fate of their love was the doubt implanted in his brain by Munna at an emotionally weak moment.
Here, Naina doubted herself because of Shefali and now Sameer doubting his fate of love because of Munna.
Chachaji's promise can not be of same importance of Munna, it can be of same importance if it is from Nanaji. So, Munna is equal to Shefali in this scenario.
Now, comes to the limitation of Munna's interference in Samiana relationship. He only and only cares for Sam and his happiness. If it is right or wrong. A true friend always show the mirror to the friend. Where was Munna when Sam was entering in the bet, he was supporting him all the way because it was for Sameer's revenge and happiness. He started supporting Naina when she became Sameer's love interest, his happiness. The disgusting behenji became worthy. When he went to Delhi, he opposed Sam because he saw something which was destroying Sameer, It was again for Sameer's happiness. In maanhoos track he supported Naina as Sam's decision only making him unhappy and Naina was the answer for his happiness.Now, in recent times, when Sam was using Su for hurting Naina, he never stopped him, because Sam was using Su as an weapon for revenge he supported him. Once he told Pandit that Sam toh Su se apna dil behla raha hain, koi pyar nehi hain iss mein. Really! Su is a woman not a toy jisse dil behla jaye. What Sam was doing was wrong but he was going through a hurt burn too. But, where was his so called friend Munna to stop him from committing the huge mistake. Only because, he thought that it was giving some mental peace to Sam. When he is pointing fingers on Naina, did he know what actually happened to Naina or what she was going through these days. Yes, she failed to be strong when comes to love but it was not ultimate. With passing of time people changes. After one failure they can bounce back and can pass with flying colours. When he has no idea of Naina's side, he is not at all in a position to give any decision for their relationship. Last and not the least, kash Naina keh pate ki because of the idea given by them to Sam ( Rishta talk to Taiji) Naina ko kya jeena paar geya.
Munna is called as Rahu and Pandit as Ketu in school. Rahu is the who shows you the picture like movie of what can happen and made you believe that but they could not show you the larger picture or the real story beyond the visual. So, in Rahu dasha, everything goes wrong and people takes wrong decision. Rahu provokes you to that. Ketu never try to show you anything rather it bring you to spirituality, so always Pandit tries to push Sam to Naina, his love. As Sam worship their love, that is his sprituality.
Munna is not at all person who has enough brain or visionary to take any important decision in Samiana or others relationship. There is a saying that, intelligent enemy is better than dumb friend.
Till now, Sameer came in the relationship with Nanu's blessings and Support and Naina against chachaji's wish and support. Now, they are standing in the same platform when they can be judged equally.
