Sonam Kapoor is reportedly playing a lesbian in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, her upcoming film with father Anil Kapoor.

Well that would be excellent, very bold and appreciate decision.
How the movie pans out to be is a different thing, but the decision(if true) is a very bold and deserves praise.

I personally don't think it's true.

Rajkummar is playing a Muslim while Sonam will play a Hindu. Also Sonam will have a fianc (other than RR) in the beginning of the movie.

All this will be enough drama but maybe I'm wrong and she'll play a gay character who knows ?

If she does play a gay character that will be so interesting to see!! Would love to see Sonam or any other popular mainstream Hindi film actress, play such a role!! ⭐️

Maybe she plays a jilted lesbian lover who throws acid on her ex lover and then framed an idiot boy. Woah that would be interesting. Gritty like NH10.

It will be interesting and bold...but Sonam is able to do justice to the conflicting feelings...

If she plays a lesbian, the movie will be a big flop. India isn't ready for that yet. But kudos to Sonam if she wants to try.

If this does turn out to be true, this will be a landmark film for Bollywood. A mainstream film with a mainstream star cast with a gay romance at the center. If this is true Sonam deserves accolades for taking risks.

Sidebar: Could this be why Sonam married Anand Ahuja despite Sridevi passing away recently. It is a HUGE risk for a mainstream actress to play a lesbian. But being a happily married heterosexual will soften the impact in India.
