Off late, he seems to be getting some special kind of support/positive comments on Social Media.

If you watch the trailer of Manmarziyaan on Youtube, you can see that the comment section is full of praises for him.

I find it surprising because Vicky Kaushal is also there in the film, who is currently quite a rage among the audience.👏

Even on Qoura, I saw a lot of people defending him when someone listed him on the list of undeserving/untalented nepo kids.

so what explains this sudden turn of the tide in his favor?

I think he has improved as an actor over the years👍🏼, although he used to be terrible in his early days. (2000-2004).😆😆

I also think his warm, easy-going off-screen personality far better than the likes of Hrithik Roshan, who just comes across way too repulsive and fake in his interviews/TV appearances. 🤪

I wouldn't say he's an underdog but I would say that being "Amitabh's" son worked against him.

He did have a good phase from about 2003-2008 - and the truth is he HAS done a lot of good work as well...Yuva, Guru, Bunty Aur Babli, Sarkar...and I would say he was the best thing in KANK as well. I think he won BSA 3 years in a row right?

He's not a bad actor...he's just not a superstar.

Underdog ? No he for most part is actually an overrated person. Because of him being Amitabh's son and industry kid he has lots of connections..most of the new age film makers are his childhood friends or people who knew him since he was a kid. So he is hyped up always n picked for movies even when he visibly seems disinterested. The only time he was flying the radar was by choice so can't call it being an underdog in any which way.
