I completely agree with this. Audience is way more interested in starkids compared to outsiders. Kjo knows this and tries to take max advantage of it.

Btw, he replied to one fan who was dissing him for nepotism and made fun of her dp as an answer. How lame was that!

Kjo is one elitist n superficial person.

But imagine if instead of Ekta and Imtiaz it was Karan talking about them. We would all be talking about them too. Not as much as we talk about Alia, Deepika etc, but we wouldn't be oblivious to them either. We know Dangal girls because Aamir Khan's name and fame gave them a bigger push than Imtiaz or even Ekta's is giving Avinash & Tripti. Yes I know that we have a bigger curiosity about star kids. But I still insist that we don't seek them rather they are being shoved in our faces. KJo specifically does most of that shoving in my opinion.

Whispermist, interesting theory about why Taimur is being covered so much. I am also noticing that Soha's daughter is being photographed more these days. But Aishwaya really did protect her baby early on. It was not unusual to see her with Aaradhya in a carrier and Ash's hand would physically be blocking her face from getting captured.

Not to open another can of worms here but look at how much Taimur Khan is getting covered and how we barely saw Aaradhya as a toddler. As for KJo and his friendships, I think his friendships are very conditional and that's not a good characteristic to have as a friend. He declared Kajol completely out of his life one day and they were back to BFFs the next.

What I am saying is star kids are an easy way for producers to get hype for their film and they are cashing on it..it's happening because nowadays for majority of film makers it's only a business..earlier there was a golden time when movies/songs were considered an art by the creators.. there were artists who considered their creation as their own child and wanted only the best and most apt people to be associated with it and they could no be influenced.. now everything is only business..

I strongly believe we as an audience definitely have a contribution in the propagation of nepotism..so we first need to fix ourself before pointing others fault.

About Kjo-Kajol I felt Kjo was affected by it..that's why he created all the drama.. otherwise he would have stayed indifferent like kajol did..and he also messaged her first when his babies were born..if he didn't care about her then there was no need for him to patch up with her since she is not that relevant now and he don't need her professionally at all at this point.

Personally I don't think the problem is nepotism per se. Karan or SRK or Adi can launch whoever the hell they want with their own money/PH. The reason why there is outrage is because Karan actively interferes with the casting. Getting directors to alter their vision by offering to co-produce and having actors replaced with his favourites is what is the problem IMO 😆 I mean I have no problem with KJo casting Alia in SOTY or Takht or the Dulhania series. But if he is getting Gauri Shinde to cast her though her original choice was someone else, then I definitely see that as an issue. Alia is talented and I like watching her on screen but I personally feel this behaviour of KJo has majorly contributed towards the increased outrage against nepotism. Adi does not get half the flak for inserting Vaani in these big films cos they are his own films and I doubt he is using his clout and calling people to get Vaani cast in their films 😆 I can't speak for others but personally I have no issues with star kids (my favourites are mostly star kids anyway) but KJo really needs to stop interfering with the casting and stop cribbing about how he has been victimised at every opportunity he gets. It's incredibly annoying 😆

RR, yes KJo's meddling is definitely a problem so that is one main reason he gets so much flak. But another reason is his own reaction after Kangana's appearance on his show. He got extremely defensive and then flat out denied it only to have his own interview with Anupama resurface on SM where he says Varun got a job with him because David Dhawan called him and Alia being Mahesh Bhatt's daughter excited him. I think that was a point of no return for him on this issue sort of speak. He tries to talk about it, joke about it, or just act as if he doesn't know what anyone is talking about, and yet people still call him out on it and he's not able to escape it.

I wonder why didn't Aish go to last season's KWK to have a bragging session with the host, post ADHM. Was there a fall out between Kjo and Bahurani?

Ideally he should unabashedly own up to it and let it go. But then he won't be able to create drama in that case so he'd rather victimise himself by using big words like 'criminal' and quoting random tweets with lame comebacks 😆

If BW is not respected or there is a rot setting in, KJO is one of the reasons.

That said, to give the devil it's due he does get the cream of starkids to launch. He chooses well and puts effort in mentoring. Unlike say Bhai who has unleashed crap in the name of launching starkids. The reason Bhai does not get any flak is people know the ones he launches will most likely fail. Who for instance thinks Ayush will amount to anything ?
