Just saw a throw back on instagram that made me laugh.

Scene: Kirthi pretending to smile, hiding her pain that Aditya abuses her.

Karthik dialogue: agar pati patni ka sabhman na kare, to aise pati se rishta thod dena chaiye.
Translation: if a husband doesn't honor/respect his wife, she should break that relation.

Lol Karthik- kettle calling the other kettle black.

Ps: I know Karthik wasn't like Aditya- physical abuse but one can argue abt mental and emotional abuse. 😆

Kartik ne toh yeh bhi kaha tha ki he is ek patni vrata pati as in one woman man but pub mein toh alag he nazare dekhne ko mile. Like they say,"people tend to make rules and exception for themselves."

Exactly! I completely agree with you.

And that is a big problem. Physical abuse is unforgivable, but so is emotional abuse. All these serials romanticise emotional abuse. People do not consider its effects on the other partner. I mean, it can completely screw up one's mental health and drove them towards depression.

And it's really annoying when people justify saying, that is because s/he is in pain (in this case Kartik).

Pain or not, no one deserves to be treated like Naira is being treated. And it, uh, please don't call it 'pyaar', it is just downright abuse.
