A New Program In Star Dopahar Slot- Grahasti

"Grahasti" is the new serial which is going to be aired on Star Plus at 2-30 pm from Monday to Friday from 25th February 2008. It will replace the serial "Saarthi" which had very less TRP so the channel decided to replace it with some new soap that can attract more viewers.

Yet another debutante on another soap?

Yes, but when the face is as mint-fresh as Neha Desai's then no one can be complaining. Neha, a perky 22 year-old might never have faced the camera before but she claims she enjoys it all, the lights, camera, action and the long schedules bit.

"I am so happy that I am acting in a TV soap these days. I had never thought I'd get to play such an important role in my very debut show (Grihasti) and that too on a leading channel. This has been a pleasant surprise for me and more than what I expected for myself."

A graduate in banking and insurance, Neha is currently doing her post-graduate in journalism even as she hops over to the studio for her shoot. How did her career graph take such a turn to the world of glamour? "After graduation, I took up classes in theatre, anchoring, dance and realised that my heart was in acting," she says. Neha however, is determined to complete her post graduation.

A Gujarati girl, born and brought up in Mumbai, Neha confesses she wouldn't ever take the 'item number route' to Bollywood nor would she ever do 'bold' scenes. Given a choice, she'd love to do a film like Chak de! India. And her dream actor? Shah Rukh Khan!"
