“Grahasti” is the new serial

"Grahasti" is the new serial which is going to be aired on Star Plus at 2-30 pm from Monday to Friday from 25th February 2008. It will replace the serial "Saarthi" which had very less TRP so the channel decided to replace it with some new soap that can attract more viewers.
It is a serial by Sphere Origins, the makers of Saathi Re, Saat Phere, Salaam Zindagi, Hey..Yahi To Hai Woh, Betiyan…Apna Ya Praya Dhan etc.
As the serial is going to be aired in the afternoon slot so it is made to attract the female audience mainly. The story revolves around the Khuranas. The family head Balraj Khurana lives with his wife Amrit Khurana, his wife Amrit's mother, two daughters, a son, a widow sister and her daughter. Balraj treated his sister's daughter as his own so he always says that he has three daughters.
The twist in the story comes when the Khurana family lost the pillar of the house- Balraj Khurana. Then these protected ladies had to face the realities and the hardships of the life. The whole story revolves around this plot.
The roles of Balraj Khurana and Amrit Khurana are being played by Kiran Kumar and Vaidehi respectively. Khusbhu, Aarti Singh and Neha Desai are the three daughters. Khushbu and Neha Desai are the fresh faces while Aarti Singh has played the role of Soni in Zee TV's serial Mayaka earlier before the change of the production house.
