Naina was too good a character to be true. Ayesha was much more relatable and genuine. Even aditi was a great character.

Naina and her typical filmi makeover is sexist.
Remove the glasses and the girl becomes hotter. It's one of the oldest film tropes. It's also supremely insulting. Naina is a stereotypical character. She's the nerd with glasses, in love with the bad boy, who grows up to become a hot doctor. And the moment she loses the glasses, she also becomes infinitely more attractive to Bunny. She has no other purpose in the film except to remind the man-baby that home is not a terrible place.

For a stereotypical nerd character she sure had great fashion sense 😆 She wore her glasses in the last scene of the movie so she didn't lose them. I just thought it was easier for her to dance at the wedding without glasses 😆 But I don't think she was fleshed out well enough. The love story was half baked.

I only watched the second half of WUS on TV and from that I thought it was better written with a better female lead. I'm planning on watching the full movie soon.

for me the whole movie was half baked, it needed more character and story development, but i guess ayan made it with the aim of it being a commercial success, thats why it had the big cast, big music numbers and locations, but story wise its not that great in my opinion

Konkona hands down ! her character was inspiring..

and kudos to Ayan since she was playing a writer from Kolkata not even once her character slips into stereotyping. In the 2nd half she has amazing shades and her chemistry with Ranbir is simply top - notch. which is admirable because before the release ppl said the pair would flop but the film totally rests on the shoulders of script not the actors..which is why the characters feel so real and fantastic
