And obviously the best role will go to the best actor in the lot.

Imo Ayushman was as good as Rajkumar in the film but the latter's act grabbed more attention coz of the way Pritam Vidrohi was written

Aayushman Khurana was better in BKB ...its as usual that the overrated RKR gets more hype...

Rajkumar was brilliant in BKB but those masala moments were supposed to be comic or am I missing something? 😕 He is an amazing actor no doubt, but the aura that is required for these so called masala films is something else, they are not there for pure comic relief. Those are characters which make audience believe that they are near perfect, that is exactly where the fandom or craze is built.

@BI: Firstly I am not his fan, his acting is excellent IMO and I enjoy it. But I don't enjoy his persona.

Also no Kriti didn't walked away with all accolades at least not in planet earth. She was praised, but everyone agreed it was RKR's Virodhi who stole the show.

Also I am not calling you ignorant because you think he is overrated. I called you ignorant because you said he plays the same kind of slice of life movie and same kind of next door boy role. Which is not true.

Their movies are under performing ...because no one comes with the duracell batteries and can go on and on forever...there is nothing wrong in the roles they are doing...these kinds of roles are just on matching up with their age right now...so the kind of roles these people are doing need younger actors...and eventually these two will evolve to different roles...like AB Sr is doing now...that doesn't mean that audience doesn't want to watch these movies...its just that the audience desn't want to watch oldies doing this roles...maybe younger actors like Ranbir and Ranveer and Tiger will take up these kinds of roles in future and make them work...try seperating the roles from actors...the actors will fizzle out not these roles...and one thing is for sure...RKR can not ever do a TZH or CE or DDLJ or a BM or a Sanju...like ever...

90's movies would never work today, even if you replaced them with today's actors, they were quiet bad, even classics like HAHK and DDLJ, they would be monumental flops in today's time. The character of Raj in DDLJ, had the film released for the first time today, would be characterised as a sexual pervert and would be done for sexual harassment in today's PC and social justice culture.

All actors have limitations, SRK and Salman can never do a historical, both tried, and both failed absolutely miserably, Hrithik can never do a comedy etc etc... my point is, that the audience has changed and is changing, CE worked, which was mindless trash, and followed it up with another mindless trash in the form of Dilwale, and tanked. There is only so much mindless masala you can serve to an audience before the start rejecting, ultimately content will eventually replace stardom.

@LiveeatLove: Ayushmann was very good but problem is he was against a absolutely brilliant RKR.
It is similar to Dark Knight, Joker vs Batman , not saying RKR was as good as Heath, but the character was so good, it overshadowed Ayushman. Or anyone else in the same frame.

Naach na aye angan tedha! He is a cocky pseudo intellectual who actially believes ge is better than the rest of bolly actors put together. That in my opinion is the end of an actors growth. He is good and he will remain there will never reach irrfan level excellence.

Aukaat aukaat ki baat hai...
a 22 crore Newton is a super hit...

a 150 cr Dilwale tanked...

end of discussion on my part...RKR is not worth more than this of my time.
