Bebe who was so excited to have a great grandchild ...remember she thought Avni was pregnant during the Ali incident ...but she was not excited when the first grandchild mishty did come home... I know mishty was not Neil's child but this is in context of the time when the family thought she was. Now let's see what happened with Mowgli..within five minutes of the family finding out he was Neil's son, he inherited the Khannas fortune. Shweta said he's the Khannas waaris. Bebe said he's a baadi Kushi, Ghar ka Chiraag. Neil after chasing Avni out of the house immediately decided that Mowgli will be coming to stay with him and the next day filed for custody and let the whole world know that he has a son. So I just thought I'll highlight the differences between mishty and mowglis treatment which I thought they brought out with the illegitimate theme ..

Personally I feel, this is one crucial point where the writer/writers messed up big time.
Yes, when we mostly get to see JAGATMATA type FL & abusive ML in most of the shows - AvNeil were completely different, specially Neil.
But while Avni was a fighter, I think with time, specially with Neela's death & the reason behind it, she became more & more vulnerable.
The writer in a quest to highlight the pain faced by an illegitimate child put Avni through unnecessary misery - some, which probably wouldn't be faced by a child born out of wedlock at all.
In fact, Zakhm was 10times better in this front. The little boy there did go through a tremendous amount of trauma. He didn't have a social life, his only friend had to come to him hiding & he saw how deeply her grandmother hated his mom. He was affected. But he found his way. He established himself & wasn't afraid to build a family. In fact, his father's inability made him more determined to protect his loved ones.
I liked Dayawanti's character sketch better at the very beginning. It was realistic. There are such people who are honest, religious but you'll get to see how vicious they can become when it comes to people of other religion.
But the way she was shown murdering Ayesha & then having relation with multiple criminals - it actually went into the typical format - an all powerful villain. Avni facing her wrath - I don't think that was necessary to begin with.
Even when we make a comparison between Mishti & Mowgli. I get that Avni was sympathetic towards the kid. But sacrificing her own marriage for that kid - looks a bit overboard.
The writer just never let her believe that she can have a family of her own. And sometimes it seemed she herself destroyed her shot at happiness.
I really wish, instead of killing off Ayesha showing Avni's super-kid avatar, if they had taken some time to show how Avni would be guided by both Neela & Ayesha & would have believed in herself that she can have a family like everyone else as there is no such think as an illegitimate child - that would have been wonderful. 😊
