A cauldron of bubbling emotions

It seems this is now officially repairing Redux week as we get a third straight epi in a row with progressively good scenes for Shivika and progression in the overall story as well. Again one wonders, why waste time in two weeks of aimlessness when they were capable of this😆...and yet again we let it be cuz it's pointless😆...and enjoy the good scenes we get for now...lol

The title is perfect. Today was indeed a cauldron on bubbling emotions.

For me the highlight of today's episode were two things - the whole gamut of emotions that were seen in Shivaay's eyes. The kanji aankhein spoke a lot and very eloquently today. And the return of the sherni khidkitod Anika. Welcome back khidkitod Anika. Taras gaye the hum tumhe dekhne ke liye.

Billuji's eyes are really very expressive. And your caps capture all the myriad emotions beautifully. The way they widen in their accidental hug. Like his arms wrap around her instinctively and he feels the newness of it and yet its familiar feeling of home that surprises and then bemuses him before the awkwardness sets in. NM did that well.
The way he is watching Anika throughout the engagement and notices her slight smile and the dawning realisation that all the mishaps with the shaadi rituals involve Anika in someway followed by anger. All the changing emotions.
And also the numb stunned look in them when he hears about Anika's shaadi being fixed. The look he throws at Nikhil. And the way he is looking at her reproachfully when Nikhil puts his arm around her.
The kanji eyes had a lot of silent work to do today and they did brilliantly.

I also like Billuji's Billu mode of wondering what to do with his arms 😆. I don't think anyone can ace the Billu mode like NM.

I like that Anika is now looking Shivaay in the eye and standing her ground in the face of Shivaay's anger instead of the cowering and stammering she did in the beginning of the Redux. That scene reminded of the forced shaadi scene with Shivaay saying tum jaanti nahin ho main kya kar sakta hoon.

In fact there were many things in today's episode that took me back to old episodes.

Today's episode also reminded of the time when Daksh returns and Anika is having nightmares and Shivaay says to her "tum Anika ho. Dabang Anika. Tum kisise nahin darti. Mujhse bhi nahin. Tum meri Anika ho. Meri Anika kisi Daksh waksh se darti nahin hai'
I felt like that self belief that Shivaay restored in Anika in her moment of vulnerability is was seen today in the way this Anika dealt with Daksh.
So glad that she has a spine and does not allow Daksh to intimidate her. Surbhi totally owned that scene.
Anika is being more and more khidkitod everyday though I wish that it is kept at showing us the khidkitodness rather announcing it all the time. To me show rather than tell is always more effective. Anika can just be khidkitod without telling us everyday how she is still khidkitod. IB mein hamesha overkill se darr lagta hain.

Shivaay is much more affected than Anika here. Which also made me think back to the RU Shivika. There too Anika was always the emotionally stronger one and she always coped with their separations better than he did. He just shut down in her absence. Shivaay would just stop functioning if he lost Anika. Here too in the precap Billu looks so vulnerable and heartbroken without quite knowing why. Kitne gusse main aaya that To sunaao Anika. Bechare ke toote ud gaye shaadi ki news sunke.

NM and SC must have had a good laugh about the future Mrs. Sharma 😆. He anyway loves pulling her leg. It made me think of the time when they go searching for Veer at the hospital pretending to be Mr. and Mrs. CP Chandna 😆

I also liked how what's happening between Shivika is just between them. Shivaay saw that Anika took the rings. But he didn't let Dadi or others know. He kept it between them.

Even the interaction with OmRu was better today. I not sure whether Shivaay has called Ru Rudy in the Redux so far like he did today or its been only Rudra. And at least they are pulling his leg. So there seems to be a little thawing there. Dheere dheere shayad OmRu phir se Shivika shippers ban jaayenge although not yet. There was a reason why they saw that hug. Also now that they have taken so long to establish how shivaay loves his sister I am relieved that we are being spared the balti bhar bhar ke scenes of Prinku pyaar.
Dadi also called him Billu once although at other times it's only been Shivaay. So slowly we seem to be getting back on familiar ground after two weeks of drag and lifeless lack lustre characters. Of course these characters are still different from the original but this difference I can live with and even enjoy the challenge that brings to actors to variate which NM and SC do so beautifully and it's nice to gradually see their old traits unfold as their connect grows.

Last 3 episodes I have enjoying the show. I am back feeling as if the episode got over too quickly and longing for the next. So all is good in IB land for me for now. Let's see how it lasts.

Have had so many interruptions while typing this that I don't know whether there is any flow of thought or it's just random observations idhar udhar se 😆. Typed a long pot and accidentally deleted it which only added to my woes. Retyping has been a pain.

Oh forgot to add...lol so Shivaay technically came to the outhouse to tell her to leave na...haha all thoughts flew from his head seeing her with Nikhil...so will he now not tell her to go despite her being such a wedding crasher? lol

Amazing post as always! 😳 I wonder if the drop in TRPs caused the channel to intervene with the writing team and so HS is being forced to bring in the original characterizations a little bit. I doubt HS has learnt her lesson of showing very dead or "soul-less" shivika. Needless to say, they are back but i noticed that this Shivaay is a little softer than the original Shivaay was in the first 50-ish episodes and this Annika is apparently more subdued like a calm storm, the original one is a full blown hurricane. Also noticed that this Annika is not an atheist so I guess having a gundi behen and a last name is the cause? 😆
Regardless, today was amazing. Shivika's "soulmate" connection is really making things move fast though, I hope they continue this angst beyond tomorrow's precap.
I really really hope, they don't go the forced marriage route this time, it can be a "majboori" Ki shaadi. 😆
I feel like the balance maybe in Annika's favor this time though but then must always expect the unexpected.

OMG! Seeing this train of awesome episodes has made me speechless😲. I don't know whether its because the CVs needed some time to regroup or because of the falling TRPs but finally, Ishqbaaz is back!!⭐️

I am soo happy to see our fiesta Anika back that I can actually burst into tears. This episode was so beautifully done, beginning from shivika hugging to the precap.❤️ My favourite part was when Shivaay was all ready to go full nuclear on Anika when he discovered she is getting married. His eyes literally screamed "how can you belong to someone else. You only belong to me".

I am really looking forward to tomorrow's episode. The hurt in Shivaay's eyes when Anika called him Mr. Oberoi. He just wanted to hear her to say his name, as if he wanted her to lay a claim on him.
